One Gem Hotel

One Gem Hotel has exceeded all my expectations. After missing our train to Sanya, I booked this hotel due to its high reviews. The friendly staffs helped saved my day. As I was leaving the taxi, I dropped my cell phone inside the taxi, my husband and I thought it was lost forever. When we told the receptionists about the situation, they suggested to get the hotel driver to assist me who in turn suggested to drive me back to the airport to report my lost cell phone to the police. My Mandarin was limited but the driver was able to communicate my problem to the police. He was very confident that my cell phone would be found, he helped calm my nerves. He stayed with me the entire time driving me back and forth 2x to the hotel. My cell phone was quickly located by the police and was back in my hands within 2.5 hours of losing it. If it was not for the immediate action of the One Gem Hotel staffs, I would not be able to have my phone back. I really appreciate the kindness of all staffs and how they put their heart into helping their guests. Thank you One Gem for saving my day and saving my holiday from going hopeless. I also want to thank the brilliant police for their prompt attention and speediness in recovering my cell phone. You all have made my visit to Hainan memorable.

Shuttle to and from airport that was pre organised was in time, spacious and clean room, good for a stopover location! Bathroom was huge and very nice.

the room is clean, spacious and same as what i saw from the photos at website. The staffs were courteous and responsive to what had promised. we booked a one way airport transfer from midnight. although there’s a minimal fee of around CNY50 , it’s reasonable and the promised pickup was punctual and higher than our expectations. the process were smooth and we can reached the hotel for check in safe and sound.

Airport shuttle was great - driver waited with sign, nice clean car, fast transfer, professional friendly driver. Nice big room, good wifi, nice big shower, Japanese toilet, good aircon.

This is a modern, upscale hotel. Google maps gets you close to the hotel, but I found that Google maps is not very accurate in China. The hotel lobby is on the 9th floor of the high rise building. The room had very modern amenities and a nice shower. There was an issue with the airport transfer which, according to Expedia, was included in the price of the room, but when I got to the hotel they said it wasn't included. The main reason I booked the hotel was for the airport transfer. I'm not sure who is at fault for this, could be inaccurate info on Expedia, or Expedia not communicating the airport transfer as part of the price to the hotel. The hotel manager did offer to provide an airport transfer after I showed my Expedia reservation confirmation, but it was very frustrating and my check in took much longer as a result (30 minutes to check in because of this issue). There's nothing worse than having to argue with the hotel over what's included in the booking, especially when it's in a country where they don't speak English - I really felt helpless in this situation. Makes me think twice about using Expedia to book a hotel. As with many hotels in China, there is no such thing as a non-smoking room, so be prepared to put up with cigarette smoke smell in the room. Other than that, it was a high class hotel room.
