From the moment arriving at Yangshuo Sugar House we were instantly charmed. The architecture is stunning, the staff are incredibly warm and attentive, and every building is photogenic. You never get tired of the views, food was perhaps the best we've had in all of China, and the spa is exceptional. Loved the activities too, like rock climbing and bamboo raft on the Li River.
Tip: Honestly, do activities around Yangshuo and Guilin before arriving because once you’re at Sugar House you won’t want to leave!

Really beautiful hotel, set away from the main town (but cheap and easy to get a taxi). Stunning view from the pool area and at night with the lighting it really is a special place. I was expecting a little more with the food, it was decent but not amazing! I took the boat from the dock at the foot of the property which was worth doing and less crowded than the other areas.

This was one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed at in the world. The facilities were incredible. The pool was gorgeous. The food was phenomenal and cocktails were great. The resort was very helpful and offered a ton of activities. This is a must stay if visiting Yangshuo!!!

This is a stunning hotel. The design effort to transform and old sugar mill, balancing old and new, to this hotel is great. It’s a great place to break up a hectic China trip and just chill. The staff service was also great and overall value good. The only issue is some noise from the road. This can’t really be helped as it’s on a corner where lorries beep there horns.
