Sehr schöne Anlage mit Doppelbungalows, aber auch einzel stehenden Häusern eingebettet in dichtem Garten und großem Pool etwas ausserhalb von Tamarindo gelegen. Der Service ist sehr gut, z.b. kann man, sollte man abends nach Tanarindo fahren wollen über die Rezeption einen Shuttle buchen (8$) . Zum Sonnenuntergang gibt es am Strand einen Sundowner. Während unserem Aufenthalt gab es eine Hochzeit. Zu unserem Erstaunen wurde Punkt 22h die Musiklautstärke deutlich reduziert, so dass die anderen Gäste nucht gestört wurden. Das fanden wir sehr respektabel und bedanken uns sehr, da wir eher ruhige Hotels bevorzugen. Wenn man also Party sucht, sollte man besser in Tamarindo selbst ein Hotel suchen. Wenn man allerdings ein Hotel mit sehr gutem Service und eher Ruhe sucht, ist man hier richtig.

Beautiful location and property with amazing staff, food and options for couples and families. Walking distance from town and private beach.

Property is gorgeous and amenities were nice. The staff were friendly but not very helpful in coordinating anything we asked of them. I would expect for a resort charging these rates, that we would have more informative answers when we asked questions regarding the resort offerings or excursions.

Loved our stay! Great service and great food and drink on-site. Farm to kitchen, fresh, and accommodating for food allergies/sensitivies. Was far enough to be away from the crowds, but yet close enough to walk over to the main Tarmarindo spots for surf lessons, food/drink. Walked to the Sam Francisco point daily to get over to Tamarindo.

The property is beautiful and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding. There is a happy hour at the beach that we did not find out about until late in our stay. We had a power outage and loss of hot water during out stay that were quickly remedied but surprising. The only real disappointment was the lack of access to yoga and fitness classes that we had looked forward to. The space for this was taken over by a private yoga retreat and no alternative location was provided.

A beautiful relaxing oasis a 15 minute walk from town

We had such an enjoyable experience here since the moment we arrived. The property was beautiful, the food/drinks in the restaurant were so amazing, our massage at the spa was great as well. I love the quick and easy private beach access. We swam in the pool and got to watch the monkeys play above us in the trees for about a hour. Transportation to town was quick and they were very accommodating. We originally had an excursion booked through trip advisor and decided to cancel it and book the same one through the hotel for about $100 more and we were so glad we did! It was basically a private tour and our tour guide was absolutely amazing.

Nice hôtel- very comfortable but not as luxury as one would expect from a 4 star hotel. For example- no bathrobes, no amenities unless requested, super dark rooms that were outdated, constant miscommunication, and very polite staff but not the high customer service one would expect. The breakfast was good- mix of buffet and made to order. The beds were comfy although there were some dips in the bed. The staff were nice but not quite what I would consider hospitality although it could also be the chill pura vida culture in CR. I’m not a light sleeper which is good because all night I would hear the animals (I enjoyed this) although others may not. Also the beach in front of the hotel is very rocky with lava rock so would be difficult to swim. Also some of the rooms are located in areas which felt kind of scary to walk to at night in the dark so we made sure to walk with each other. Not sure we would stay again but considering other properties it may be the best option.

Perfect. Quiet, peaceful, lush. Right by the beach and quick walk to town. Fantastic food.

This place is amazing! Our second time here and we got a villa this time. Totally worth it! The villa is spacious, clean and a private pool was so amazing to have. Cala Luna feels safe as we traveled with our 3 kids. 2 teens and 6 year old. We are already planning our next trip back. We had Jose as our tour guide to Rio Celest and he knows everything about everything in the rainforest and about Costa Rica.

Beautiful property at the beach with excellent staff and cuisine

This place is amazing! If you are looking for a spiritual retreat, some relaxation and some serenity, this place is for you. Must try the harmony massage.

Cala Luna was overall a lovely stay. The service was phenomenal. Eddy went out of his way to arrange a jet ski session and was super responsive. The rooms were high quality with beautiful modern design and were clean. The location was just far enough away from the city center hustle bustle which was very relaxing. Some cons were limited breakfast options, food prices were too high (almost price gouging), transportation options into town were too expensive, beach was rocky/not swimmable, and free water was not provided in rooms.

Great staff. Location a bit far from town center.

Everything was natural, the wild life, monkeys and iguanas. The staff were exceptional. The beach, the property is well kept. Love it. Coming back soon.
