Excelente

Great experience for very little money. Great views. The room was basic and in need of updates but spotless. Reception was very nice and service oriented. My only warning would be would be a caution to seniors. Our room was on the third floor and the hotel has no elevator. We had help taking our heavy bags up but none on the way out as it was a very early departure. Just a caution. The restaurant was wonderful and crowded for dinner. Still full till lunch the next day. Enjoy

This hotel is located on a steep hill with a superb view of the San Jose. Our room was very spacious but lacking a desk or a table to work and a chair. The building has a very nice architecture with a lot of details. Breakfast was great. Over all, a great place if you want to escape the hustling and bustling of San Jose.

The property has an expectacular view. Highly recommend to visit for the view and get a bite at the restaurant. I won recommend to stay. There is no A/C anywhere and in March it is hot. Upgrade is needed and room amenities are low quality. Be prepare to use tons of stairs because there is no elevator.

I fully recomend this property because of its great views and the kindness of the personal.

No one was here to receive me - at 12:05 am I had to leave and find another hotel I’d like my money back

The views are amazing x the food is great and the rooms were clean. Bed was great and good size.

The staff are absolutely wonderful. Would really prefer that they have a website with more details & menus. An information card or something to tell me, when is breakfast? when is lunch? what is the wifi password? other basics would be nice. Don't come here if you're looking for a conveniently walkable spot, not that you really should because the property is gorgeous and if you have a quiet stay it's a great place to be. Uber everywhere, uber eats everything (but be ready for hefty delivery/service cost). The room was fine, view was INCREDIBLE. Bathroom meh and floor starting to crack, but the building is also a 100 year old plantation. Nice place to recover from a surgery but lack of info could be improved :) Pamphlets in the room would be perfect - bonus points for more history on the building.

Me quedé en Fogo una noche con mi esposa. El hotel es muy lindo y la vista es inmejorable. Nos quedamos en una Suite y la verdad estaba bastante bien, tal cual lo muestran las fotografías. Solamente vimos que el Jacuzzi no estaba super limpio, pero fuera de eso, todo lo demás estuvo bien. Cenamos en el restaurante italiano Ponte Vechio que está en el mismo hotel y todo estuvo super bien, la comida muy rica y la atención excelente. El desayuno estuvo muy bueno y la atención también excelente! Creo que es una muy buena opción para una escapa romántica.

I was going to leave a nasty review again about Fogo but decided to say our visit was acceptable and perhaps will stay again. We arrived shortly after 1 pm knowing that the published checkin time was 3 pm. Reception and the female manager said our room was ready but we would need to pay 13 dollars x 3 people if we wanted an early checkin. I lost it! After much verbal discussion, they agreed to waive their early checkin fee. Will eating an overpriced soup lunch on property, a staff person came to the table and said we were upgraded to the penthouse which was about 4 stories high via stairs. The stay was OK but initial observations to extract more money from us not so much! They did carry our heavy bags up and down from their penthouse which as appreciated.

Un lugar poco aseado, no se podía dormir, era demasiado el escándalo ya que en el lugar hace fiestas, constantemente. Y en sus alrededores la música es muy alta. No lo recomiendo para descansar.

Do not fall for the photos. This place is a dump. I have plenty of photos to show you. After one night we left as we felt unsafe. No smoke detector in the room, floors buckeling, torn curtains- the list goes on.

Una excelente opción para vacacionar y disfrutar de buena comida, paisaje y servicio.

Al lugar le falta mucho mantenimiento. Las sabanas estaban sucias, lastimosamente nos dimos cuenta hasta que ya nos ibamos, escogimos la habitacion del piso mas arriba e hizo mucho calor, solo hay ventiladores, no hay aire acondicionado, entonces en las epocas calientes es bastante incomodo.
