Hotel Pibi Boreal was the perfect place to stay after a long flight into San José, Costa Rica. The owners were incredibly friendly and made everything easy from start to finish.
One of the biggest conveniences was the transportation and car rental coordination. The hotel arranged our airport pickup, and they partner with a car rental agency that delivered our rental car directly to the hotel on the morning we checked out. At the end of our vacation, we stayed at the hotel again, returned the rental car there, and took the hotel's shuttle to the airport. The entire process was seamless and stress-free.
The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of fresh fruit and excellent Costa Rican coffee. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and if you prefer a firm mattress, you'll love the beds.

The best place to stay near SJO if you prefer a more nature-filled, boutique bed and breakfast experience than a run-of-the-mill airport hotel. They even remove the watermelon seeds in your breakfast fruit plate, served to your door as part of a beautiful breakfast tray. And I had at least 5 hummingbird sightings while eating said breakfast on my balcony!

Der angebotene Flughafen Transfer war bestens organisiert und gut beschrieben so das man sich schnellstmöglich fand. Die Unterkunft ist schön gelegen und der Empfang der Gastgeber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir bekamen tolle Tipps für die Umgebung von der Gastgeberin.

Our group of seven ladies spent one night at Hotel Pibi Boreal. It was wonderful!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was brought to our rooms, which was a nice. Each room had a patio overlooking the forest. We would definitely stay here again!!

Lovely, ample eco-friendly rooms in a tranquil setting. Large garden dips down into the forest. The staff (all family) are helpful and kind. Plan on 10-15 minutes on a tight curvy road to get to restaurants but the hotel location is worth it.

We only stayed for one night at the end of our trip to Costa Rica and we would have liked to stay longer, it is a lovely hotel and Nidia was very welcoming and helpful. It was very clean and had great garden to walk around. Breakfast was included and brought to our room. Thanks

Everything was lovely - location, beautiful garden with rainbow eucalyptus, breakfast on the balcony! The owners were the sweetest people and had excellent communication, ensuring everything was perfect! My only regret is that we only were there one night! Would definitely stay again!!
