Wir können die positiven Bewertungen leider nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Angefangen beim Check-In, der sowohl als auf Englisch als auch auf Spanisch sehr schwierig war. Das Frühstück ist für die schlechtere Zimmerkategorie leider nur von 7-8 verfügbar und kam daher nicht für uns in Frage. Dies wird auf Expedia leider so auch nicht kommuniziert. Am Pool gab es wenige bis keine Liegemöglichkeiten. Erst am dritten Tag wurden 2 zusätzliche Liegen (4 insgesamt für mind. 8 Zimmer) bereitgestellt. Sonnenschirme und Schatten sucht man auch vergeblich. Weiterhin hat uns das Zimmermädchen am ersten Morgen um 8:15 Uhr wachgeklopft, obwohl wir gerade erst angereist sind. Für 1-2 Übernachtungen ist das Hotel sicherlich gut, nicht aber zum längeren Entspannen, zumindest in der Zimmerkategorie, die nicht am Pool liegt. Freundlich waren die Mitarbeitenden dennoch.

We had a great stay at La Ramona. The hotel is in a great location, walkable to everything but quieter than the Main Street, The staff were very nice and accomodating. Our room was nice and cool and spacious. Overall we felt this hotel had great value for our money and we would happily stay again!

having spent almost two weeks in CR, I was used to bugs. but not bugs everywhere in the room - on the bathroom countertops, on my towel, or on my face and pillow when i’m asleep, especially for a 4 star hotel. poor water pressure. the water also had a yellow tint and the bathroom/faucets smelled like rotten eggs that permeated throughout the room. the clean towels and sheets had hair in them. the mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. the location was close to town, but even the hotel manager told me not to walk alone at night on the dirt road leading back to the hotel. i’m used to inconveniences while traveling but for the price, i expected much better.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à l’hôtel La Romana. Le personnel était accueillant, la chambre propre et confortable. Un endroit parfait pour se reposer.

Nice clean rooms, friendly staff, and the breakfast was perfect. It's close to several restaurants, bars, cafes, and a grocery store. The beach and the main strip in Tamarindo are about a 10-15 min walk but we liked this as it kept it very quiet in the room. We stayed for 5 days without a car and did not feel we needed one. Felt more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel, which was a nice surprise. Definitely recommend

Our room was infested with black ants that were coming thru the space between the glass and wall. Tried to get another hotel that night but all was booked elsewhere. The room was dated. Best part of the stay was the breakfast. Sorry, we won’t be back.
