ワヤカ ミニ リゾート

We do a lot of traveling and this was by far our worst experience ever with a stay anywhere in the world. We reserved a first floor unit many months in advance because we are in our 60s and have mobility issues and do not want to climb stairs. However when we showed up we were told that the only unit available was a second floor unit with a long flight of stairs to get to it. We asked about our first floor unit and we were told it was not available even though the property did not look crowded. Our second huge issue was the fact that this property was described as air conditioned but it turns out that only applied to the bedroom and it only applied at night. It was like an oven in there and we were told not to run the air conditioning until night, just to open the window even though it was hot and humid and there was no breeze. in addition the furniture around the pool was broken and just in general the property looked rundown. We tried working with the property management and they were not at all interested in addressing these issues and also expedia did not stand behind us in terms of wanting a refund for this misrepresented property. We were forced to find another accommodation at additional expense. We will think twice before using expedia to book a stay in the future.

Nice and quiet area on a dead-end road, but still very close to all amenities.

My family enjoyed staying there! The managers are awesome! Very caring and friendly. The only thing is, it would be nice to have known we have to pay water and energy at the end of the stay. Also they only accept cash for this.

O staff é muito simpatico. O apartamento é muito bom para ficar em familia e cozinhar o basico, tem uma varanda boa. A agua e a luz consumida é pago a parte, assim como a faxineira, e seria legal deixar isso claro no site da Hoteis.com. A unica coisa que o estabelecimento pode melhorar é na limpeza dos items da cozinha, pois muitas coisas que utilizamos estavam sujas. Sentimos falta tambem de coisas basicas como algo para acender o fogao e papel higienico que tivemos que comprar. Mas nada disso que tenha atrapalhado a nossa estadia. Voltariamos com certeza.

We arrived after Midnight and even at that late hour, our hosts greeted us kindly and started our vacation smoothly. The room was comfortable and clean with comfortable bed, small kitchen, and even furniture on the porch that enabled us to eat outside in comfort. No insects, many birds to watch and listen to, pool is perfectly maintained and comfortable..This is a wonderful place to enjoy nature while being in a convenient location to enjoy both Willemstad (less than 10 minutes away) and the more rural parts of the island. We look forward to returning here again very soon!

Beautiful property in a safe location. Very nice pool which was cleaned daily. The rooms were very comfortable with all your basic needs met. Would recommend having a car for sure, not just for this property, but the whole island, so many amazing places to visit, which the owner is more than happy to show you. There is an extra charge for water (potable) and AC, but it was only around $70 for 8 days for a two bedroom suite, very managable. The remote electric gate was a nice bonus as well. The area is full of good dining, stores and liquor shops. Ive been in the Caribbean for a month and a half now, and this property was the best bang for your buck !! We were sad to leave but given a big hug form the owner on our way out. Enjoy your stay at this lovely resort !!!

Mooi, klein resort in een rustige buurt. Grote appartementen, van alle gemakken voorzien. Netjes onderhouden. Vriendelijke en behulpzame beheerders. Uitstekende bedden!

The property was in perfect condition, pool is awesome. LocAtion is perfect to discover the island. Close to nice path for running or walking. The owner are very nice peoples, we had good time with them! Thank you! Danny, Marina and kids

Naast het feit dat het appartement ruim en schoon is en alles goed werkt (gas, water, elektra, verkoeling) is de service uitmuntend. De gastheer en -dame staan voor alle vragen voor u klaar. Ook voor gezellige praat en tips zijn zij altijd in. Het appartement ligt niet ver van het strand, maar wel rustig van de weg gelegen.

It was our (my wife and I) first time in Curacao. The property was very easy to find. Jan instructed me to download maps.me before heading to Curacao and let me tell you. This was the best thing I downloaded. There’s a big sign on the main road letting you know where it’s at. Very close to everything. We rented a car and the downtown area, seaquarium and papagayo beach were no more than 15-20 minutes away. There’s a couple of supermarkets nearby also. We mostly cooked at the apartment. We were the only people there besides the couple that left one day after we arrived. Jan was very nice and helpful, giving us a couple of maps and activity books and a bag for groceries. A great place to book if you’re going with a group or as a couples getaway. Will definitely book here again next time we go to Curacao.

I was pleasantly surprised by this gem of a hotel, great location, great staff and great value for the money. I highly recommend it.

Es ist ein ruhiger Ort nicht weit zum Einkaufen und Strand . Eine hübsche und sichere Anlage .

I am very critical of the places I stay, and I could not be any happier with my time at Wayaca. Jan was an amazing host and the property allowed for relaxation and privacy. The apartment was roomy, the kitchen well equipped, everything very well kept and of good quality. The AC was very cold and silent. The apartment had its own private balcony (they all do). Wayaca is a gated property located in the upscale neighborhood of Jan Thiel. I felt very secure and at ease with my family during my entire stay. I think the property description falls short to all what we received here. The beautiful beach of Jan Thiel is near by as well as a well equipped supermarket. The image I have enclosed is from my terrace with my own recliners and umbrella. Did I mention the pool has a Jacuzzi? As I said, lots of relaxation :)

Wayaca mini resort is, zoals de naam al zegt, een klein complex waar op acht appartementen zijn gesitueerd (in twee gebouwen). De eigenaren wonen eveneens op het complex. Jan ving ons vriendelijk op en gaf een korte uitleg. De auto parkeer je op eigen terrein achter een automatisch afsluitbare poort. Wel zo veilig. Het complex is centraal gelegen. Eigenlijk midden tussen Jan Thiel en Mambo. Willemstad is eenvoudig en snel bereikbaar. Ondanks de centrale ligging is het op het complex en daarbuiten rustig. Geen geluidsoverlast. Ons appartement voor twee personen is eenvoudig, maar alle gemakken zijjn aanwezig. Keuken met toebehoren (magnetron), woonkamer met twee luie stoelen en tv, slaapkamer. Prima kastruimte. Jan vertelde ons dat er ook kluisjes in de slaapkamerkast komen. Prima idee. Eten doe je buiten op je prive terrasje. Binnen is er immers geen tafel. Het zwembad, met whirlpool, is voor alle gasten van het complex. Tijdens ons verblijf hadden we zwembad vaak geheel voor onszelf. Ook hier zijn de eigenaren soepel en het zwembad kan de hele dag gebruikt worden. Hier geldt: een beetje rekening houden met de andere gasten. De whirlpool un je zelf aanzetten. De verblijfkosten zijn heel redelijk in verhouding tot het gebodene. Prima prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding. Let wel op dat je de elektra en water nog aanvullend dient te betalen. Hierbij gelden niet de tarieven die je thuis voor water en elektra betaald. Vooraf even informeren naar de tarieven voorkomt verrassingen.

We enjoyed our stay at the Wayaca Mini Resort. Our accommodations were very comfortable and the owners were very friendly, helpful, and informative. The location of the resort was great. Beaches nearby and the city of Willemstad was easily accessed by car.
