Loved my stay. Although a family resort I still enjoyed adult time without feeling bothered.

The hotel rooms and furniture need upgrades, outside the rooms i feel the hotel has a good image and restaurants are ok, but definitely rooms and furniture needs to be upgraded. I don’t know if the bedsheets are changed but there was always a smell on the pillows. Service was good most of the people were friendly and very helpful.

food was terrible!!!!! they say you don’t need reservations for the restaurants that are open 6-9.. yet if you get there past 7pm you get told it’s full for the night and are forced to eat at the buffet also received several dirty towels

I went to Riu Bambu last year with friends and had a ball. I rebooked but we got upgraded to Riu Punta Cana, also a nice stay especially for families.

Everything was dirty - the room was damp and lacked basic bedding. When we requested blankets, we were given filthy ones that caused insect bites all over our bodies. The front desk staff were indifferent and refused to address the issue, even suggesting it was "just allergies." Dining was no better. All tableware and cups were visibly unclean. The restaurant offered very limited options, and the food was mediocre at best. Even the beach was underwhelming - far from peaceful, with constant harassment from vendors pushing water sports, cigarettes, clothing, and cheap souvenirs. Overall, a profoundly negative experience. Avoid this place at all costs. Don’t waste your time here!

En las atenciones de los empleados todo super bien. Es un hotel que necesita mas cuidado en las piscinaa, en los cuartos los enchufes no servian los cambiaron y el teléfono no tenia todo. La comida es regular. En fin para lo mucho que se pago no violo la pena.

It is ok resort but some of the staff, especially at the dining area are not friendly

Nice hotel but to much walking to get around also water park far walk they should invest in golf carts help get around Also had take my own bags up 2 flights of steps there no elevator after about 10 min walk to get to my room from the lobby

A really beautiful place, clean and tidy VIP service and the food is delicious i promise to come visit soon 😋😋😋

I had an amazing stay! The resort was so easy to navigate, and the staff was so generous and sweet.

The property was very poorly maintained, and everything was far apart from one another. Some of the staff were extremely rude and would speak about you in Spanish if you didn’t understand them. The food was terrible, and once everything closed at 10 PM, there was nothing left to eat. The 24-hour sports bar, which is supposed to offer food, only had cold beef burgers. As someone who doesn’t eat beef and with a toddler unfortunately that didn’t work for us. Additionally, there was no microwave, and the room only came with towels—nothing else—and the bedding was dirty. I would never return to this resort, nor would I recommend it to anyone, even on their worst day.

The property is dirty the towel smells very bad no shampoo or conditioner in the room and the food is horrible is the same in the buffet and all the restaurants, the buffet is messy and not so many choices. The pool smells bad and the staff are careless. The only plus is the beach.

Hotel is nice just needs some updates. Staff is amazing . Food is not so good need better options.

RIU Bambu is heavily focused on being family-friendly. Usually when you hear RIU you think parties, games, fun, etc. This RIU is not diverse in terms of activities, events, or music. However, if your goal is to have a chilled / relaxing resort, then I’d recommend coming here.
