チェスナッツ B&B

ホテルに行けずに迷った。案内の看板も見つからない。店で地元の人に聞いたがわからず、観光案内所で聞いて、やっとわかった。結果的に、最初に聞いた店員さんから間違った場所を教えられていた。裏口のドアが玄関でわからなかった。最初に聞いたところのすぐ裏だった。ロケーションは申し分ない。建物は古く、床も傾いているが、歴史を感じ満足。

ボートン・オン・ザ・ウォーターの中心地なので観光やショッピングなどの利便性はとても良好です。直ぐ近くにコンビニまで有って助かりました。従って田舎町のB&Bを求める方には相応しくないと思います。 入り口が裏側だったのでナビで到着しても聞かないと判りませんでした。部屋は小奇麗でシャワーの出も良くて快適でした。期待のイングリッシュブレックファーストは素材が新鮮で後で泊まったロンドンのホテルよりずっと美味しかったです。5泊の連泊でしたが最初の日のタオル交換がなかったのは残念でした。

Good breakfast. Good parking spaces. No elevator.

Amazing stay to see the Cotswolds. Friendly staff, good breakfast, and located in the middle of town close to many shops and restaurants. We got one of the parking spots the first day but the second day no parking was found. The hotel staff directed us to a temporary parking then recommended we look for parking after dinner. This recommendation worked very well. The room was quite warm in July but they provided us with a fan on request. Definitely recommend

Bodde i familjerum. Enkelt men bra. 300 år gammalt hus så allt är lite snett och krokigt men det är bara charmigt. Värdinnan är fantastisk. Extremt trevlig och bra service! Det lyfter betyget ett snäpp. Boendet ligger mitt i byn. Byn är en by alla åker för att besöka. Folk har picknick och barnen leker i den grunda ån som rinner genom samhället. Enda negativa var att det bara finns ett fönster och precis under det är en stor ventilationsanläggning som låter väldigt högt. Men aircondition finns bara i andra halvan av huset. Dvs vår korridor och sovrummen var väldigt varma. Dag 2 fick vi en fläkt som hjälpte en del. Men räkna med högt ljud. Och varmt rum om det är varmt ute. Frukost ingår och man väljer från en liten meny. Bananbrödet var tyvärr slut båda morgnarna vi var där. God men enkel frukost, men britterna verkar ha rätt enkla frukostar.

Was right in the centre of everything… great location. Very friendly breakfast was lovely. Lots of pubs and restaurants for places to eat . An amazing and beautiful place to stay .

The room was generally clean, but the en-suite had quite a bit of mould across the ceiling and the shower felt cramped, despite the large cubicle, due to the shower itself being squashed into the corner of the cubicle.The furniture is somewhat 'distressed' , but the bed was very comfortable and the duvet was great. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast on our first morning was very good, however, on the second morning the fried egg yolks were hard, but the whites were runny and oily. Plenty of Tea bags and Coffee were supplied in the room, but only 4 small milk pots, which were not replenished. The Chestnuts is ideally located in the beautiful town of Bourton-on-the water, with plenty of pubs/restaurants. Parking can be a bit of a chore due to the small number of private spaces available to the B&B. You can park on the street for a maximum of 90 mins, although after 6 pm, you can park overnight free. We had a great short break and will definitely return to the Cotswolds, although probably not to this B&B.

The reception was very nice and informative and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot with good water pressure.

Amazing room and amazing location. Staff was friendly and couldnt be more helpful. Breakfast was great and the perfect way tonstart every day. Definitely will be returning.

Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, hot and plentiful. We enjoyed a full English and the other options on our three night stay. Room was very comfortable , lovely welcome snack basket and amenities available. Mandy was exceptionally welcoming providing local information and details. Great location to stay.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The place needs updates carpet was so old, but staffs are great.

Very Good

While Chestnuts is a good value for expensive Bourton-on-the-Water, the accommodations were somewhat disappointing. The location is terrific and the breakfast was tasty, but there is minimal hospitality compared to other places we stayed across England. The room was a little dated and the bed wasn’t our favorite; and the shower temperature was hard to fine-tune; it was either hot or cold.

The property was in the town centre and close to the river, Birsland the motor museum, plenty of places to eat out. However there were stairs to climb, awkward for my sister in law. The rooms were adequate but the building was dated. The staff however were excellent. Mandy (?) was brilliant, friendly, helpful even though she was always busy she found time to talk and tell us about local places.

A lovely property and wonderful service.location was perfect. Our only grumble is the shower. In our opinion it would suit better for the shower head to be mobile rather than a fixed head. Also the flow was not great. Everything else was perfect 😄

Small bed

Very old building. So old musky smell. Tiny bathroom. No air con. Service and staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Location is good but would find some where a little more updated.

The hotel was located right on the Main Street and o we looked the river, that’s fabulous. The room was nice BUT NO A/C and our days and nights were in the 80s! The breakfast was lovely and a full English breakfast. They only have 4 parking spots, so beware! Parking every 90 mins was tricky. But after 6pm, shoppes closed. Must move car 8am! So, travel by train, then do the hiking. It worked out and we have a fabulous time
