Excellent clean spacious property fulfilled all our needs for the weekend

Excellent property everything we needed lots of space it was perfect for our stay. Highly recommend

Plus points 1. I had downstairs bedroom. The bedroom was quiet, clean and warm 2. Good location and close to town centre 3. Better alternative to a hotel, if you like to cook your own meals. Kitchen is well equipped Negative 1. Bathroom is tiny. I am average size and could not brush my teeth over sink, without hitting elbows on shower doors. So small there is no room for toilet paper holder. You will find it in cupboard under sink and have to keep it on floor. If you are larger than average, you will struggle with this bathroom 2. Kitchen felt grubby. I was there 2 nights. The bin was not emptied during my stay. It was overflowing on night 1. On night 2, you smelt rotting rubbish when you entered house. And by then there was a bag of rubbish by side of bin as well. 3. If you arrive at night, I suggest get a cab from station. I am sure the area is safe. But I had at least 10 homeless people approach me for money, on walk to apartment. It was intimidating and in the dark, a bit scary

This room and the lodge set-up was perfect for my needs. A quiet place to rest after working away in Reading. The room also had a small fridge which was useful for snacks, if you didn't feel like using the communal fridge. The bed was very comfortable, just like a hotel. The ensuite was clean and functional with enough towels provided for the whole duration of my stay. The street was a quet residential street, and you couldn't hear too much noise from the other rooms. check-in and check-out was excellent and convenient. I would have prefered to know that there is no parking available at the property before booking - this wasn't clear before booking and I found no way of asking. Location to the buses and restaurants, and small supermarkets is 10 minutes walk. Ideal! The photos are a true representation of the room (though the fridge isn't in the photo).
