Holiday Inn LONDON - GATWICK AIRPORT by IHG, an IHG Hotel

The breakfast was amazing and the rooms were clean. The shuttle was convenient but we had to pay every time we left the hotel to go to the train station. Good location if you want to be close to the airport.

Front desk staff lady that handled my check in was beyond friendly, efficient and profesional. Restaurant has great options. Bar is open until 11 pm. Outside garden area with tables is a major plus and smoking allowed. Hotel is clean and very comfortable lobby/lounge. Hoppa bus runs every 15 min 24/7 which makes the short transport to Gatwick super convenient.

The best and most courteous staff I’ve ever come across. Kiran and Angela at breakfast, the entire reception- the friendly guys who’d come around often to chat with my family or play with my baby. The breakfast was 100/100, which is a rarity. My only quam was the rooms- they could have done with a good Hoover. Other than the dusty feeling- we all ended up taking Zyrtecs before sleeping. We ended up leaving my son’s car seat by mistake in the room and have spoken to Alice to collect it in a few days time when we’re in the area again. The proximity to TESCO (10 minute walk) and shuttle to the airport make this a solid recommendation in book!

It's a bit of a walk but the Six Bells is a great pub to visit. Quaint and historic with really good food. Staff there is good too. There's an old church and a beautiful park with walking trails as well. The location has easy options to get to the airport and train. Food at the hotel is excellent too.

Natalia at the front desk was wonderful...very helpful and friendly. Hoppa shuttle service to and from Gatwick worked very well.

Was comfortable

This is a great place to stay when you have to catch a really early morning flight from Gatwick. It delivers exactly what it promises. The staff is helpful and friendly. I’ll be back when I need to fly from Gatwick again!

Ideal location….helpful staff, comfy room nice start to holiday

Everyone was so nice, and the breakfast was great. Angela in the restaurant was very helpful and she made our morning very pleasant.

I had rung in a few weeks ago to change the room type from a double to a twin. I was told I would not be receiving any email confirmation of this when I asked, but was assured the booking change had been made. However, at check-in they had no record of this and had no twin rooms left. I've given 4 stars though as reception sorted out a family room instead

Lovely staff at check in but hotel let down by cleanliness sadly. Lots of hairs on the bathroom floor.

If you book a sofa bed they don’t leave the sheets in the room so you need to ask for them to make the bed up. Other than that it was lovely night stay. Comfy bed and reasonably quiet.

I would have given 5 out of 5 for the overall score but the food was awful
