Parking was easy and secure and convenient to town but quiet. A partial view of the sea proved to be an excellent view without being in the front.

The room was clean and very comfortable. We had a sea view which was amazing. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Staff are so warm and welcoming, the hotel is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. My room warm and comfortable with everything you need right down to an umbrella.

Room was very clean , WARM , & well presented - delighted to have a verandah for a dramatic sea view .Staff pleasant, yet business like .Parking efficiently organised.

Lovely sea view. Room was well set out. Lovely breakfast and convenient car parking space.

The room was very basic and cheap looking with net curtains 8inc too short and a filthy radiator! The tv kept cutting out the tv reception was terrible! The shower flooded the bathroom and when l reported it to reception l was told there was no other room available and the man on reception bought some towels and mopped up the sodden floor with them and said to take the drainage filter out when using the shower in future . I told him about the other issues we had with the room and he said there was nothing he could do and left!

Good value for money

The Elizabeth is a lovely Hotel situated on the Esplanade in Sidmouth directly facing the sea. Easy to walk along the sea front and very close to town. Breakfast is table service also a buffet area. Cooked breakfast was lovely (I enjoyed Eggs Royale). Nice bar area. Parking is limited so needs to be reserved in advance although there are car parks nearby too. Room nice and spacious. Great staff. Would stay again.

We loved the location room overlooking the sea friendly staff nothing to much trouble for them.

Dated room and en suite with no fridge. Other hotels at this price point offer a more modern room. 10.30 checkout is too early when on holiday. We were harassed to leave the room by 10.40. Very good cooked breakfast delivered quickly by polite restaurant staff. Great location on the Sidmouth seafront. Beware of the dive bombing and thieving seagulls.

Lovely staff. Clean room. Good food. Great location. Breakfast was fab. Fish and chips in Dukes next door (part of the hotel chain)was amazing. But the bedroom was so hot. No radiator or towel rail were on but the room was like a sauna. Slept on top of bed with window wide open but very hot all night!

We liked the friendly staff but weru disappointed with the luncheon menus and the evening meals weren't up to the standard of other hotels in this category!!

We had a sea view room accessed via lift. All the staff are polite and approachable nothing is too much to ask. The ocean waves lulled us to sleep and woke us ready for a new day. The town of Sidmouth is quaint by modern standards which only adds to it charm. A return visit is very likely. Many thanks Sidmouth.
