Lovely hotel with easy access and parking. Very friendly and efficient staff. Great size rooms that have good facilities and very comfortable. Restaurant was lovely with amazing food and attentive staff. Overall a brilliant place to stay.

The stay was a very pleasant experience - all clean and neat - very friendly staff - excellent dinner - delicious.
Could improve -
1. Exhaust fan in the toilet.
2. Toilet cleaning brush.

Hotel facilities, grounds and location were great. Food was nice, but service could have been better. It wasn’t terrible, just not very efficient. They forgot the starter and brought it out after the main course. No-one noticed that we hadn’t got any water, so had to ask. No one noticed when we need more water, so had to ask twice. They seemed to have enough staff, just some training and basic issues that stopped it from being excellent - all things which could easily be fixed. If staff are not going to be vigilant regarding water, then maybe a jug of water on the table would be an easy fix. They did recognise service was slow, and over-compensated in a way (didn’t charge for starter, didn’t add service, gave an extra discount plus an extra glass of wine) - maybe be better to discuss and offer, as we felt they had over-compensated, so left some cash as a tip to balance things out.

Room was lovely. Felt that the bar service was quite slow. Toilets in reception area were in a terrible state on arrival and even worse the following morning - definitely needed to be clean on a more frequent basis. Had drinks in The Snug which was a lovely space but dirty tables and crumbs on the floor. Not what I expected from a four star hotel. Would stay at the hotel agdd as in but they definitely need to up their game.

Was upgraded to sea view room with lovely view. Bathrooom needs a refresh as does hotel generally especially restaurant area, big room with no character. Staff were polite. Bar area okay but not sure staff have been trained very well, gin and tonic in white wine glass.
Restaurant food was very average and starters were awful. Very expensive wine list.

So much could have been easily so much better!
Disappointing right from arrival and we’re told maintenance were still in our room. Not help by the duty manager informing us they had to sort things because VIP guests were arriving the following day! Made us feel really valued as guests.
Room was fine but warm. Decent bedding and lovely spacious bathroom.
Downstairs bar was stuffy with smelly stale air. Really needed windows to be opened!
Breakfast was poor. Mini fridge contains fruit and yogurt pots with soggy granola. Coffee machine provided weak coffee. Hot buffet food was poor quality with cheap supermarket sliced bread. I did ask for fresh plain yogurt and that came so I was able to have that with honey.
Staff need to be encouraged to make guests feel welcome not hindrances and use please and thank you!

Overall the hotel looks good from all angles, and is nicely decorated throughout.
Lager choices are a little disappointing, and a few more pub classics would be a benefit.
i only have two areas that were disappointing, one being the WiFi was always dropping out, a real pain when working or watching a video.
My second area of disappointment would have to be the breakfast, as it's extremely expensive and what was on offer was not worth half of the amount charged.

Hotel overall was good. We were upgraded to sea view room which was nice. Rooms were clean and modern. Had everything you needed for your stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and dining area was pleasant.
The spa was disappointing. Really needs some TLC. Very dated, could do with some attention. Changing rooms were not very clean. Unfortunately there were children having swimming lessons so not a nice relaxing experience 😞and difficult to have a proper swim. So that did let it down but overall had a nice stay.
