The Comfortable Hotel&Nice Staffs

Enjoyed our stay again but we were given our room key at check in (after 3pm) only to arrive at the room to find it had not been cleaned after the previous occupants. This was rectified but still disappointing

Great old hotel. Super location if you are going to the Dockyards. Thin walls, squeaky floors and the carpets need cleaning. Easy parking. Other than that all good.

The welcoming was really nice. The room was clean and spacious and we were allocated a room with a nice view. We did have one or two minor issues which the staff were happy to put right and did so promptly. The breakfast options were just right and no hassle at all. All in all, happy to recommend.

Such a charming building and very kind staff! Just across from Gunwharf Quays, the bus & train station. Super convenient for those coming into or leaving portsmouth via public transport!

Beautiful hotel second time there and we loved it again. Friendly staff, good food, lovely bar and restaurant perfect location for the dockyard.

The location was perfect for our visit to the Historic dockyard. Almost opposite the entrance! We were in the room looking out over the water. It was large and clean and comfortable. Breakfast is freshly cooked for you. They had gluten free options for me

The staff are the saving grace for this hotel. All more than helpfull. The old hotel itself needs work. Our room (25) small, ageing single beds, two hangers on a hook for a wardrobe. Poor water pressure in the shower that occasionally went off or cold. Toilet bowl not anchored to the floor.The bar, manned by the receptionist, dirty as was the carpet in the dining room. We were the only guests in the dining room for the Sunday“carvery”. A frozen chicken portion thrown in the deep fryer, some vegetables and covered with gravy. Burnt yorkshire pudding inedible. This hotel in a great location needs work.

Overall friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Wonderful breakfast and dinner option (sushi menu). Only complaint was the stained carpets in the rooms.

Fikk nok et av de "dårligste" rommene. Et rom med vindu vi ikke kunne se ut av eller åpne. Derfor ble rommet mørkt og trist. Fikk ikke byttet håndkle i løpet av de tre nettene. Ellers var beluggenheten perfekt og frokosten var god, helt typisk engelsk frokost.
