Cliff was very friendly, greeting me at the door as I arrived. With the available parking meaning that my car would be blocked in, Cliff ensured that I was able to move my car so that it would be free for me leaving early the next morning. The room was comfortable and I had a great sleep.

Friendly owner showed us to our room and explained relevant things to us before we headed out again. The room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was cooked to order and very nice. We would return here.

Another excellent stay at The Leicester, from the moment you walk through the door you are greeted by Cliff, very friendly & welcoming. I stayed in room 10, a large lovely room, bed is a superior king-size & so comfy, the best bed I have ever slept in. This is now the second time I have stayed here & will definitely be back. Breakfast is really good, lots of choice, full English yesterday & freshly made pancakes with banana, blueberries & strawberries drizzled with maple syrup, delicious.

Cliff and Jane run a wonderful B&B and are convenient to restaurants in downtown Southport. They always asked if there was anything we needed and helped with dinner reservations. I heartily recommend tithe Leicester for your stay in Southport.

The Leicester was everything a person could hope for and more! Cliff was an amazing host and provided great dining recommendations! Breakfast was amazing and the guest house menu was extremely varied and all delicious. The room was very comfortable and clean. The absolute perfect location as well.

Cliff contacted me on the day of to confirm our arrival time. Made very welcome and shown to our room no2. Clill give us a comprehensive rundown on all the hotels facilities and breakfast times, he always told us about the local area and eating establishment's. Breakfast was excellent 👌 Would highly recommend this hotel.

I was very favourably impressed with the Leicester. The premises were maintained to a high standard and tastefully furnished and decorated. Spotlessly clean throughout. The breakfast was excellent, an extremely wide choice to cater for all tastes, freshly cooked to order. My bacon, sausage and black pudding were grilled to perfection, the fried egg just right. And home made marmalade too. Next time I'm in Southport I'll want to stay there.

Not been back home to Southport in twenty years. I wanted a hotel just off the beaten track. Leicester road, know it well. Service is all about time, skill and dedication and after a lifetime in catering. You get that at the Leicester hotel. Special thanks to the chef, great breakfast as I never got to thank you in person. Thanks for the coffee tip. Thank you great stay, all the best.

We can’t say enough about this wonderful B&B with its amazing hosts and incredible home cooked breakfast. We truly enjoyed Cliff’s and his family’s hospitality, as well as his very dry sense of humor. The B&B is in a great location, close to the water and the main thoroughfare , and Southport is a very pleasant and charming place. Our room was very cozy, tastefully decorated , adding to this memorable stay. Thank you Cliff, we’ll be back😀😀
