I stayed in a ground floor room, number 22. The room itself was not too bad, a bit tired maybe with things like a stained desk chair, stained carpet and so on. The parking facilities were good although on one occasion I had to call for help when the slow-to-raise exist barriers still hadn't moved after a minute of waiting. The most negative thing, the thing that hit me when I first entered the room, was a stale smell. I wasn't sure if it was coming from the soft furnishings, the bathroom, the air vents or whether someone had previously smoked in the room. The corridor smelled a lot better than the room! I usually don't bother complaining about stuff like this but as I hadn't even put my bag down I went back to reception and described the problem. The helpful young guy said that all other rooms were booked so he couldn't move me. Hopefully the other rooms don't have the same problem.

In general it was all good. Some of the carpets were a bit tired, the desk was sagging and there was no seat for the desk (the comfy chair was too small to use instead).

Lovely stay, only downside was that breakfast was advertised n Hotel TV at £12.95 per adult but in the pub was £14.95

I stayed 1 night at the lodge Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and nice room. I was booked by Expedia. The only disadvantage with the lodge you are not allowcyo use the solent swimming pool.

The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was clean and well organised (I always appreciate when the on/off control isn't under the shower head. The biggest issue I had was two grown adults in a double bed! 😐 It was uncomfortable and I didn't sleep particularly well. I would have thought that in a bedroom of that size there would have been a king size bed!

Nice location and property. Very good food but quite expensive. No a la carte breakfast available, only a one price buffet for £14.95 Close to shops and a good selection of pubs and restaurants nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Convenient, clean and tidy.

A lovely modern clean room with everything we needed for a one night stay. Lovely comfy bed and very powerful shower. Good choice for breakfast and staff in restaurant very pleasant and accommodating. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends and family. Great value for money.

Plenty of parking in Hotel main car park. Rooms were good for price point a bit tired in places. Breakfast was good at the Parsons Collar.

Carpet in my Lodge room has seen batter days, also the corridor carpet looks like many an ending to heavy nights landed on it. Food in the pub was terrible, first time i’ve ever sent a meal back anywhere. Fish and chips. Looked like the oil it was fried in hadn’t been changed in years and was inedible.

Never had a balcony maybe next time

I stay here for the proximity to close friends and I love my time here. It’s peaceful and relaxing and close to easy food options inc onsite dining and a Lidl :)!
