Basic hotel, with very small room. Staff were very helpful and friendly but this hotel is not up to same standards as other Malmaisons we have stayed at, which considering the cost, represents very poor value for money.

I am still far too upset to write my review to both the CEO and Expedia, but once I do you’ll be aware.
My Birthday week started appallingly due to my horrendous time spent at Malmaison.
I would like a partial refund.

We really enjoyed staying here for a couple of nights. All of the staff we met were friendly and helpful. We had lunch at the Japanese restaurant and drinks in the bar, both of which were good. The facilities in our room were very good. However, I did notice that the decorative cushion on the bed was rather dirty and marked. We enjoyed having use of the shared outside terrace but felt that the outside of the property was in need of refurbishment.

We stayed in the deluxe sea view room with a balcony. The room was small but perfecty formed and the balcony overlooking the marina and sea was lovely and scenic.
Its walking distance from Kemptown but if you want to go further the hotel is quite far out from town. Nevertheless we had a good stay and would consider staying again.

Staff were absolutely fantastic in this hotel. Had a delicious bento box lunch on the day of check in which was great. Found that people just parked up in the hotels drop off spot in palm drive (check in and out) so parked in the Brighton marina car park level 6 which is free. There is a foot bridge from the west end of the car park to the board walk. You arrive at level 1 of the hotel and the reception / resultant is up on level 2. You don’t need to register for the car park or get a ticket. Be aware there is a car boot there on Sunday (in the car park). We had a Japanese style breakfast outside and this was also lovely. The room was nice with a good bathroom and a little balcony.

Really lovely hotel, the room was great spacious and really nice and its a good location for us, We came to this hotel last year at the same time, the difference being this time, the lovely bar area at the side of reception was closed and being used for seminar or something, a smaller bar area was further along was available, we stayed tues---fri, we did notice Friday night / sat morning they where setting the room up for restaurant, as we checked it we where told the restaurant is now Asian, which we looked forward to but looking at the menu it was more Sushi, which isn't to our taste..We did enjoy the hotel more last year but that's just personal taste..The parking at the hotel is a bonus and good..

Great location and good views overlooking the Marina. Breakfast was lovely, although the staff were bit confused over some options. Good eating options nearby, really useful as the Asian Fusion menu for dinner was a bit limited.
