Nice restaurant for dinner

Great service, lovely quiet room

When we arrived we were shown down the side of the hotel to the lodge. We had paid for an Executive room but were told we were in the bridal suite? it was very cold and damp and the four poster bed was completely covered in cobwebs and dust. We went back to reception and reported it to the receptionist who said no more rooms were available, but another one said they had an alternative room. This wasn't much better it was also very cold and wasn't very clean but we were given a heater as the heating wasnt put on until five in the evening. Also the smell of paint in the corridor was appalling. Very Disappointed 😒 Mr Duncan Hardy

Staff were all lovely. Room and corridors are very tired and dated. Our room had a large water mark on the ceiling which didn’t look great. Could do with updating.

I had a room at the rear of the property which was very quiet. Rooms are clean and spacious. Bathroom came with a lovely bath with shower over. Storage was plentiful with a wardrobe and 4 large drawers. You could hear the occupants of the adjoining room but it wasn't an issue. Parking is avaliable at the front/side and rear of the property. I have learned from experience not to park under the trees as you will return to find your car with bird droppings. I always stay here when visiting the town. The staff are all friendly, helpful and accommodating and they take an interest in what you have to say. I usually eat at least once whilst staying here and the meals are generous, tasty and, in my opinion, good value for money.

Stay okay, room okay. Unfortunately, at breakfast, staff member taking breakfast order, too busy chatting with the only other occupied table as they seemed to be regular visitors. Not asked if we required more tea, still waiting for rest of breakfast which was ordered.

Stayed here for one night whilst we were visiting the area for a bike racing event and wow… we couldn’t have got luckier stumbling upon this place! The staff are lovely, the hotel - inside and out - is beautiful and the facilities they have are next level! We had their breakfast for a bargain rate of £12 per person and it set us up perfectly for our long day. Still thinking about their hash browns now actually! The room was comfy and quiet, and not boiling hot like other hotels!! The bathroom was nice and clean, and we had plenty of towels. The hand soap and body wash also smelt DIVINE!!! I must give a shout out to Lisa in particular. She was lovely and warm when we arrived and had no issue showing us to our rooms or to the gym facility. For the price, it’s an absolute gem. Looking forward to returning next year already!

Food is awesome, but the building needs a little bit of renovating to make it an enjoyable place to stay.

From a quick and pleasant check in to the size of the room, everything 10/10 - great tv, not the usual postage stamp and lots of channels,and options.

The room was very clean, although there were some mould areas around the shower in bathroom, that need attention. It was good for the price. We paid extra for breakfast at £12 but that was outstanding! We were in the annex which was a little out of the way but quiet if there are events on. The bathroom was spacious and overall very comfortable.

Staff where so nice and friendly definitely stay again

All staff we encountered were friendly and cheerful. Breakfast was very good. Decent choice of drinks in bar. We stayed in a room at the end of the building, was quiet not disturbed by other guests. Would stay here again.
