if you're looking for a full on Spa Hotel this is not it, the pool is small and the sauna and steam rooms are tiny and there are chairs around the pool but no loungers due to no space. That said I enjoyed those things a lot and at one point had it all to myself.
The accommodation is in either the very grand old building or the travel inn style block at the back, one side looks out onto lovely countryside the other the car park.
Thr room was lovely with a slightly compact shower room but I had a really comfortable night.
the food in the restaurant was great with really attentive service.. thank you 😊
Breakfast was also really good, great range and plentiful..honestly I couldn't eat another thing..
The icing on the cake is the setting.. I sat outside as the sun went down with a beer on the patio outside the bar..you just see trees and grass.. just perfect.
The staff all great all the way through, all requests met with a positive response and a smile.
Don't book direct its much cheaper via the obvious websites and just remember its also a wedding venue so check if there is one when you are staying and ensure you get a room furthest away.. I did and it was fine.. no real noise.
In short.. was actually sad to leave I felt really relaxed.. I will be back 100%

Had a really nice stay, the grounds were beautiful and the rooms nice and comfortable. My only complaint is that the rooms did not have air conditioning and it was unbearably hot in there as soon as the sun was up.

Really enjoyable one-night stay. The hotel did everything well. From the efficiency and friendliness of the staff at reception; nicely decorated and comfortable rooms; a tasty dinner in a nice environment; and a very good buffet breakfast. They really didn’t put a foot wrong.
The room was a little warm, but we are in the middle of a heatwave. And although the room didn’t have air conditioning they helped out by putting a fan in the room.

Would definitely recommend.
The only slight negative, and really just as it happened to be mid heat wave, is that there was no air con in the room. Everything else including the food was excellent.

The park was breathtakingly beautiful and worth the stay. The staff were rather expedient. We stayed in an annex to the grand hotel which was very unattractive from the outside, though the rooms were pleasant enough. We were charged £25 extra for our dog so we didn't have breakfast to make up for for the extra cost.

What a stunning place to stay. Majority of the staff encountered were pleasant friendly and helpful.
Swimming pool and surrounding spa area was clean, however the changing rooms were rather small and cramped.

The stay was very good but the weather was hot and there was no air conditioning. Also we were in the garden wing which was quite a shock when we first saw it as it looked like a 1960's car park and totally out of keeping with the main building and photos online. However the rooms were fine although extremely hot. Food and service was excellent and leisure facilities were good.

Room was clean and fresh, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was outstanding. That was fine considering a heatwave which affected draught ales. Service was good, plenty of ice to cool the drinks. Restaurant service from the youngsters was excellent as was the food.

Lovely place set in beautiful surroundings. Room very clean but very warm and no air conditioning in any of the rooms. Fan provided and could only open the windows a little bit. Breakfast was great with a large variety of foods to choose from

Paving in garden area uneven. Coffee not always available in some bars. Pond needs warning signs, and safety features for young children. More towels needed in room.
Reception lady with blonde hair, on arrival, not very friendly.
On breakfast, food luke-warm, bacon and scrambled eggs dry and tasteless. Plates cold and had to chase cutlery and plates not cleared.

The room was very comfortable and clean. Lovely big shower. The hotel was very nice and again very clean. Great bar. As you walk in to the reception it is very grand like walking into a beautiful Manor House.
Breakfast was very nice with plenty to choose from. The problem I had was it said in the booking email they check in was 2pm. It isn’t it’s 3pm . So be careful.
