We arrived on Thursday afternoon and the pool was closed. We only booked this Resort in order to have a pool for our young four-year-old. The pool was closed again the following morning when it reopened, it closed for lunch for two hours, and then when we were swimming, we were asked to get out of the pool as the relief lifeguard had not turned up. On Friday night there was supposed to be a kids disco but nobody turned up to do that either. The staff were amazing but the management was diabolical. you could not get any Bedding after 6.30, which given the amount of people that were there was ridiculous. Each apartment barely had enough equipment for the occupants as there was only one of everything which meant you had to keep using the dishwasher. You only got two dishwasher tablets and then we’re told to buy your own and there wasn’t enough toilet paper again you have to buy your own. It felt like the place was in total chaos, but we don’t blame the staff it was purely down to mismanagement. The management are not only letting the staff down they are letting the customer down.

The hotel was holding a darts tournament and even though this is advertised as a family friendly hotel there were teenagers up swearing until 2am running around, making so much noise that we didn’t sleep at all and no staff to assist or intervene

Very good location to access North Devon. The property is cozy with added facilities recreational facilities like swimming pool and games. Good enough for a family of four for a short break. The town is stone throw away from the property with few food options. Superstore next door is huuuuugeeee bonus. Overall very good. Highly recommend

We got there for 4:45pm and our room wasn’t ready, apparently, apparently check in is “from” 4 and doesn’t mean it will be ready at 4 ???? This is the second time we have stayed, we previously stayed when it was under a different name, there has been lots of improvements though and you can see they are trying to make it better. We only used it as a 1 night base because we had plans for days either side, was perfect just for a 1 night stay asking as you prepare your self for no thrills. Kids entertainment was a really nice surprise though and the lady who did it was extremely lovely. We do use this place knowing it’s no thrills but perfect for a north Devon base if you have plans. Room was nice enough, we had a two bed apartment, like I said it was a base, it was clean, basic and tidy.

The pool was cold and sauna wasnt working. These were two of the main reasons we booked the stay. I rang before booking to ensure a pet friendly property was available and no one mentioned this. The accomodation was very basic with a really hard bed in the master. The kettle leaked from the base, there was broken glass underneath my son’s bed and one of the seats of the sofa was collapsed. Having said that we had a fantastic meal at the restaurant and all the staff were really warm and friendly.
