The location was central and the room very comfortable. It is an older hotel, though. The window in my bathroom would not close so I had to have the heater on high. There is no dedicated hotel staff so not as much service as other hotels. But breakfast was great, and we dis enjoy our stay.

We had a lovely stay at this Inn. The rooms were very comfortable and the shower was great. All the staff we came across were friendly and professional. The breakfast was amazing (Full English) with really fresh quality produce in a wonderful setting.

Couldn’t have wished for a nicer stay. Perfect location to travel into London with frequent trains from Harpenden station.
The room was lovely and spacious. The bathroom was luxurious.
Breakfast was excellent with great choice and service.

the room was an excellent size as well as the bathroom, just a couple of things let it down was torn net curtain in the bedroom, the mastic around the shower needs attention as well as the painted wardrobe.
overall the stay was excellent and the breakfast was well presented and it was great value for money

Nice enough place with a lot of character, but rather pricey for what they offer, and the lack of parking is a serious problem for overnight stays. A nearby car park had machines that weren't working (and a fraudulant parking app that forced me to cancel my debit card), I had to find places to park on the street and move the car around, etc. Not exactly a relaxing expeience

Hotel/Pub very nice - staff super friendly. Would stay again when in Harpenden for sure.
That said
Only issues I had - Parking. Harpenden in general is awful and there isn't much in the way of long term parking near the hotel that I could find.
Also when I checked in - I hadn't realised I paid vis Hotes.com and ended up paying again at the hotel - still trying to sort out but that is more down to me keep missing the manager - they have been helpful.
