Upon arriving at the property, I called the host asking for details on how to access the property. He claimed to have not been able to contact me as Expedia/Hotels.com didn't provide contact details - odd how every other hotel sends me multiple messages. He then asked for ID,something I've never been asked for in any previous check-in. I'd already paid to stay and wasn't hugely impressed by the host's attitude. I did say this was a bit of a shambles which seriously triggered him into shouting abuse at me down the phone, telling me he didn't have to let me stay in his property and swearing at me multiple times! I'd explained I'd already paid and he told me to sort out the effing refund with Expedia. I hung up the call,not wanting to be abused any further,leaving myself without anywhere to stay at 7:40pm. I called Hotels.com and believe the poor agent got abuse from him too and wanted an easy way out. The narcissistic fool would only offer a 50% refund, despite him cancelling the booking, utterly ludicrous! The agent topped up the difference with vouchers. If you want an insight into the character of this man, read his responses on another booking site. There are other apartments in Chelmsford, I stayed in one the week before. It was amazing. Do yourself a favour and check them out.

Excellent well kept property, the only issue is there is no parking with the property and local Chelmsford parking is restrictive only till 5am and the local carparks are exceptionally expensive.

Very clean, comfortable bed and sofa, nice to have a desk. Kitchen mostly equipped, just needed to get a couple cleaning supplies and a tea pot! Would stay again.

Massive pigeon infestation, cant leave the window open because they will fly in. The hot water finished after 10 minutes in the morning, so no shower in the morning, only one person. You need to climb 50 stairs to reach the apartment, the elevator is broken. Only a 1/2 roll used toliet paper, no rug to step out of the shower, used a towel instead.

The apartment was exactly what we wanted! It was comfortable and clean! The host was wonderful and had no issue with answering any questions we had! The apartment is so close to the high street - a perfect spot for nights out or just a quick visit to the center. The only thing we found that there was not any oven trays for cooking but there was an oven. Not a dealbreaker at all and we just used foil that was provided. Just a point for the future! Overall, we would 100% stay again! If you are looking for somewhere to stay close to town for a couple of nights - this is perfect for you.

The apartment was clean, fresh and very cosy. Its like home away from home. Everything was in place, and in working orders.

Lovely apartment, very clean and great location for cricket ground and city centre. Really helpful owner. Car park an easy walk a few minutes down the road. Would definitely use again.

The cleanest apartment we have ever stayed in. It was well stocked and really convenient for town centre (and cricket ground. Parking not provided but there is a cheap-ish car park a couple of minutes away. The host was super friendly and communication was excellent. Will stay again.

Although property was close to town it was very noisy. Lacked information and towels. We would not stay at property again.

Great apartment centrally located with a car park 100metres away. Car park does become expensive if you are staying for a few nights. Modern and clean and obtaining key lock code was very straight forward.

Home from home. Very convenient, great apartment. Highly recommend

from the moment we arrived at the apartment we knew it would be a special stay. the apartment was spotless with everything you could possibly need for a memorable stay. excellent WIFI and a lovely comfy HUGE bed. the shower was spot on. really powerful and again spotlessly clean! the host was absolutely spot on and helped us with directions and any other questions we had. Location is fantastic at the bottom of moulsham street and the high street with loads of nice restaurants within a stones throw. Cant wait to stay again!!!
