Lovely welcome from host Jack, easy parking and access to the property. Room very clean and comfortable, everything needed for our 2 night stay. Great selection for continental breakfast in the morning in a pleasant self service dining area. Enjoyed a meal at The Plough Inn which was a short 5min walk away.

Room was lovely and comfy. Very clean wth en-suite, shower with amenities, towels body/shower gel, conditioner, hand cream and soap. Comfy double bed, the room had a coffee machine, kettle, fan and hairdryer. 32 inch TV suitable for room size. Complimentary breakfast more of a continental style but not fully. Teas, coffees, cereals, fruit, small selection of juices and toaster and microwave. Host was on hand to make hot drinks and toast, very hospitable and friendly. Guest are welcome to help themselves to hot or cold drinks during day and snacks. Host was very informative on York on local attractions and public transport. Car parks facilities at rear of property. Cottage located not far from York city centre. Beautiful stay would highly recommend and great value for money.

Nothing is too much trouble, and they are on hand for anything from questions about recommendations on places to see, to bus routes or restaurants to sample. As travelers themselves, they understand what hospitality means, and what they expect when they’re visiting other places. Try a stay at Pinfold Cottage, and you won’t be disappointed.

A lovely stay in York- Jack is super welcoming and friendly. I would recommend this place for sure. A lot of effort has gone into ensuring the guests are well looked after. The tea/ coffee ( excellent quality )& snack cupboard was very thoughtful. Breakfast fruit selection was so fresh & tasty .

Jack was a lovely host, very helpful, especially with suitcase carrying to & from the room. Snacks etc. always available on a help yourself basis. Good local knowledge regarding places to visit. Kindly lent us some season tickets to various tourist attractions at no cost to us. Highly recommended venue and host.

Very pleasant stay. Great bedroom and facilities. The house is in Fulford on the outskirts of York but very easy to get into central York by regulatar bus (10 mins).

Perfect location just a short bus ride into York. Jack & Ellie are the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Tea & coffee facilities available in the room which was very comfortable. Breakfast is a help yourself but Jack is on hand if you need anything. Fresh fruit and yogurts, cereals, juice etc are available. Jack recommended places to eat, which were absolutely spot on. Food in all recommended places was excellent. This is a little gem of a place to stay, while not in the city centre it's a fantastic location with the bus stop just outside. We will be staying here again when we are back in York

Although I didn't actually end up staying at this property due to my own issues, the owners have been more than accommodating and understanding to my needs. I would recommend this stay for anyone looking to deal with kind, respectable individuals that truly care about their business.

The cottage is charming and I loved my room — it was so comfortable and bright. Jack and Ellie were very welcoming and made me feel instantly at home. It is close to York but away from the bustle of the city. A perfect place for a relaxing break.

Nothing was too much trouble for Jack& Ellie. Very friendly very helpful. Will most definitely be going back there again

We had a wonderful stay at Pinfold Cottage and we will most certainly be staying again in the future! The welcome from Jack & Ellie was wonderful, they were accommodating when we arrived a little later than planned and Jack kindly showed us around the kitchen facilities and our room. The room itself was cosy, with a great TV and tea/ coffee station. We had a very comfortable nights sleep and the help yourself breakfast approach suited us perfectly, there was a fantastic selection of cereals, fruit, waffles, pastries, yoghurts... and the coffee machine they have is better than many of the highstreet brands. Located very conveniently to York city centre we were able to walk in just 20 minutes. They also have some lovely places to eat near by including The Plough (which Jack had recommended to us). Other highlights were the convinient parking space next to the property, and the designer outlet centre is just a 2 min drive away. All in all it is a fantastic place to stay, with lovely hosts and are looking forward to returning soon!

Our hosts, Jack and Ellie, were fantastic. They have created a lovely bed and breakfast home in York and we loved our stay. Excellent hosts and a lovely room.

This place is a gem in York. The hosts Ellie + Jack were superb. There is a bus stop outside the cottage that takes you to the outlet village and a bus across the road that takes you into town. ideal location as we didn’t want to stay in town but close enough. The room was very comfortable and the shower was powerful too. There are also some lovely touches provided by the hosts. There is no cooked breakfast but that didn’t matter as there is a vast selection of waffles, pancakes , brown and white bread , cereals , fruit and hot drinks and juices and snacks. Also there are takeaway cups if you are on the go We shall definitely return here again and I’d advise you to give Pinfold Cottage a try as you won’t regret it

Beautiful nineteenth century cottage in an ideal location to visit the wonderful city of York. Super comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Run by a lovely couple , Jack and Ellie who really couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was outstanding. Thank you both, we will be back! The Rogers Family, South Wales 💙
