Fine old hotel with good food and great beer. Friendly host and customers. Quiet location and plenty of parking. Highly recommended.

Went to wedding in the area, ideal.spot good clean and comfortable room , good brealfast we needed to be off early and they provided breakfast for us . Would recommend if in this area .

Lovely nights stay at the Red lion whilst visiting Oulton park, we were looked after from the minute we arrived until we left, Evening meal was lovely, as was the breakfast. We will definitely be returning.

Very welcoming. Spacious and very clean room. Cold water and fresh milk in fridge on landing. Pub had a good atmosphere. My only whinge is I think breakfast should be included not an extra. Would definitely stay here again.

Brilliantly friendly village local pub with clean rooms and great food. Super warm welcome from the couple who run it, and a less than 10 min walk to Oulton Park. The room decor is a little dated, but it is exceptionally clean and has everything you need. I’ll definitely be back.

Obviously a very well loved property with locals ans over nighters alike.

5* welcome, friendly staff, lovely thick towels to lose yourself in after a hot shower, comfy beds and a fantastic breakfast to clear the cobwebs the next day.

It did what it said on the tin and the proprieters were excellent.

The new owners are very friendly as are the staff. Our evening meal was excellent. I had the gammon and asked if I could have mash instead of chips which I got and it was beautiful. Hubby had chicken salad and it was also excellent. We really enjoyed our one night stay.

Friendly, trouble free overnight stay. Nothing too much trouble for our hosts. Excellent breakfast.

Really friendly place, good sized car park and close to the race circuit

Friendly helpful staff, and a convenient location. No breakfast currently available (due to COVID?), but the listing still says "Breakfast available (pay at the property)" - so had to go elsewhere for breakfast.

Very nice accommodation in traditional village pub with excellent food.

Spotlessly clean and spacious room. Helpful and friendly staff and management. Lovely setting in quiet picturesque village between Northwich and Chester, perfect for sightseeing. Excellent breakfast. Cosy quiet country pub which l would recommend and will stay again when l next visit the area.
