Very poor that the one only open bar/ restaurant closed at 5pm everyday, it’s supposed to be a resort hotel how can this be the case with no food and beverages around the clock? Staff were not very welcoming in both the bar and the pool Was also called by reception at 10:15am on our exit day to be told we had past our check out time of 10am although our confirmation from yourselves at hotels.com says check out at 11am, yours also says check in at 3pm which we tried to be told the cottage wasn’t ready. It could be an amazing place if they were warmer customer service wise and offered full facilities as a resort should. The cottage though was fantastic

The cottage was absolutely immaculate! Very clean and tidy, the staff at the reception were very friendly and polite and extremely helpful! The food in the club house was excellent.

The lodge was nice and there was plenty of room for our family. We noticed when we arrived that there was a lot of litter outside of the lodge, debris from Christmas Crackers etc. The cleanliness of the cutlery, glasses and crockery wasn’t great so we washed everything before using it. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the leisure facilities were great after a day of hiking on Dartmoor

Rooms dated, dusty and dirty spoon rest. Swimming pool, sauna and hot tub great, very clean, including changing rooms. View from room great. Quiet but did keep hearing next room and the doors in corridor banging when people went through.

It is with great sadness that a much hopeful trip turned to such a great disappointment. First night we arrived, eve of Christmas day, we observed that the cottage was freezing and my kids being 5 and 3 years had to sleep in their hoodies and gloves as Hubby's attempt to reset the temperature proved unsuccessful. We could not bear it any longer and called the receptionist to explain we are having issues with the heating. Sangeev offered us two portable heaters which we were left at the reception for us to pick up. Having arrived after 5 long hours of driving from London, we really needed a little bit of extra support or someone going the extra mile to drop it at our doorstep given that the cottage is atleast 3 mins drive to the hotel reception tucked away into a secluded estate. Nevertheless, I ended up picking the heaters which the receptionist kindly carried into the back of the car for me. This solved the problem on that particular night and we were informed that maintenance will be in the next day to assist. They did not show. Around the evening of the Christmas day, the hot water stopped working and I then called the hotel receptionist chloe who kindly offered us a temporary solution either drive to the hotel as a family of 5 to go have a showers there or be moved to another cabin. We had paid for a 3 bedroomed cabin but only a 1 bedroomed was available so this option would not work for us. And packing up to go to the hotel to shower was not only inconvenien

I got an upgrade when not even asked for it. I was early and the manager Chris checked me in without problems. Top man Top hotel

Clean and warm room. Always great amenities and good food. Staff was friendly and polite.

Gym and spa limited but nice. However entry has to be via let in from reception, same person three times did not buzz us in…. Food ok, but needs a bit more thought and attention for the cost. Only one of the three bars / restaurants open. Serving staff in the bar / restaurant were excellent. First time ever, they charged my card pre checkout which was inappropriate / odd. Luckily it was correct! Overall pretty good value.

Tafel stond los, douche werkte niet. Doucheknop viel eraf. Vuil en vies. Heel verouderd.

It was excellent. Staff were very friendly and responsive. The cottage was not only very convenient, but also spotless. It catered for our needs. I would definitely recommend it for friends and family and also looking forward to going there again

Clean room, quiet location, great facilities

High standards in all areas. Not accepting cash is my only issue as we as patrons should always have that as an option.

For an international hotel we found it pretty basic and in need of a refresh. Shame the fire alarm woke us up at 3.30am!
