I was attending a course in the leisure centre next door. The Aqua was an excellent, relaxed place to stay. The staff/owners were polite, friendly and generated a relaxed atmosphere.
The small, well stocked bar carried on this relaxing, informal atmosphere. (The squeaky bar stools could do with fixing but were still amusing)
The food is top notch and very affordable.
The cooked breakfast (Included) is amazing and you can select as little or as much as you want. Lovely coffee as well. Cereal and toast is also available and I enjoyed the relaxed serve yourself arrangement. Helga, was on hand to make sure you had everything you needed and was very friendly and approachable.
You can take a walk to the highest point in Portland (490 feet above sea level) to take in breathtaking views and sunsets. (A bus is also available as it's quite a walk!)
My room was clean and tidy and all I need in a stay. A comfortable bed and shower.
TV reception was very poor, giving only a handful of channels, but this didn't really affect me as I don't go to places to sit in hotel rooms watching TV.
The Aqua is a great place to relax and enjoy great food and drink. I liked the informal, laid-back atmosphere as this added to the relaxation. This, plus the attentive, friendly staff, made my stay very enjoyable.
I would certainly stay at The Aqua again.

The receptionist / bartender/ waitress (Sian) was really friendly and efficient, handling a large dining group, customers at the bar and a late check in, but still find time to have a chat as we bellied up to the bar for drinks.

Very convenient for the port as we were visiting a cruise ship for the day. They are refurbishing the hotel to a good standard but the front of the building needs attention.

I was looking for a place close to both Chesil Beach and the Verne Citadel as I would like to go on walks and do some photography. The Aqua is both of those things. It is quiet and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Dyrt i forhold til hvad man får for pengene. Beskidt på værelset, ikke særlig god morgenmad og elendige parkeringsforhold. Alt - alt - for få pladser tilknyttet hotellet. P vagter tjekker alle ugens syv dage. Måske kan man få en plads, men så skal der betales.

Room was clean but basic. Not much to do in the immediate area but handy for the sea. Breakfast was available if a bit ramshackle as not adequately monitored to ensure there was sufficient food. Had to ask for them to replenish coffee and hot food.

Staff were very amiable and courteous. My case was Carried up to My room . Which was then and changed to the lower Floor as the Syairs were too much for Me . This was My second visit and would definately recommend. I will be back around the end of the year.

Basic hotel, Clean, welcoming, but sadly the restaurant was closed due to staff shortages. Breakfast good staff helpful. Very well located for access to the dockyard/port.
