ザ カーペンターズ アームズ

ハイクレア城に訪れるために宿泊しました。 ロンドンから往復できますが、ハイクレア城のレセプションの終了時間が遅いので、近くで宿泊することにしました。 パブの敷地内にあるお宿です。 シングルルームに宿泊しました。バスタブ付きのシャワールーム、トイレが共用です。 部屋は、トランクをひろげられる広さが十分にありポット、ティーセット、ドライアー、があります。 共用のバスルームは、かなり広いスペースで清潔にされています。 部屋は、２階で窓があり開放的です。細い階段を上るのでトランクの上げ下げがちょっと大変ですが、まぁ、B&Bにはつきものですね。 敷地内のパブのビールが美味しかったです！種類は覚えていませんがお店の方のお勧めを飲みました。 夜の21時ぐらい？でキッチンが閉まってしまうので夕飯はそれまでに済ませたほうが良さそうです。 パブ自体は、夜中まで開いているそうです。 朝食は、ここのパブで、ホットミールで卵サンドを頼みました。美味しかったですがやっぱり大盛りですね（パブってそうですよね）。 帰りはタクシーを呼んでもらって、駅まで£１２ぐらいでした。みなさんレンタカーの様です。 お水とかもパブで買えます。

The staff were very friendly and breakfast was excellent, served in a really cosy and festive restaurant. We stayed in Room 6 which was very clean but could do with a bit of an update.

The room was spotless. The staff couldn't do enough and were amazingly friendly. The atmosphere was lovely. The food was excellent with a good level of choice. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Fully intend to return and stay again.

The whole experience was very good, food, bar, accommodation and staff were all outstanding.

Excellent evening meal. Relaxing atmosphere .staff friendly and warming. Breakfast was cooked to order and didn’t disappoint! Would certainly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to revisit.

Easy to find, easy to park, great staff, excellent service, tidy, comfortable rooms, amazing breakfast. Couldn't fault anything, a great stay.

All of the staff were friendly and helpful, the evening meal in the restaurant was good. However, we found the room we stayed in a little disappointing and whilst accepting it is within an old and character property we felt it need a little bit more attention. There were several nosies that we found a bit obtrusive, e.g. the road noise was quite constant and noticeable (we understand that this is not something the accommodation can easily rectify) there were several 'plumbing' related noises, some from the adjoining rooms but also a loud pump or fan noise within the room itself which started up at random times. As we were only there one night it was not too problematic. Without the above issues we would have rated it higher.

What a charming pub with rooms! The food was beautiful and the service was fantastic! Great value for money and generous breakfast included. I was shown to my room - which are really well thought out for things needed (i.e. full length mirror / iron and ironing board) and was pleasantly surprised to see some rooms had outdoor seating :) Would recommend maybe the bathroom windows are frosted over as mine overlooked the car park and ground floor but only had to pull the blind down. I believe it has been taken over recently so sure more improvements will be coming! Will definitely return! Thank you for a lovely stay :)

Fun rural facility with unique rooms, nice setting. Very pleasant staff.

Close to Highclere Castle with plenty of parking spaces and a nice restaurant. The evening meal was good, the pie of the day is superb and the Arkell’s 3B beer is delicious.

Staff brilliant nothing else to say would definitely stay again

My room was a little tired, but for the price I wasn't expecting the Ritz. Perfectly functional, with comfy bed, good shower over bath. Nice extras of biscuits and bottled water. Staff in pub great, food really tasty, food and beer very reasonably priced. Felt very safe and welcomed as a single traveller. Will happily return.

What a lovely find! Staff great food fabulous, great friendly locals. The room what can I say best bed ever only stopped one night. Can't wait to return
