Excellent the service was good and very friendly people

The hosts were lovely. The room was well appointed with a king size bed and it was clean. Would stay there again.

The hotel is just marvellous. A warm welcome and care by the hosts during the stay. Prime location between St. Ives snd Penzance. Food is outstanding, especially the signature breakfast. Rooms are amazing, with immaculate cleanliness and beds are comfortable.

The hotel is in a good location and the room was great, clean and comfortable.

Lovely Easter break! The 'Owl' room was ideal for the four of us, as has bunks for the kids & a fabulous super-king bed. Superb Breakfasts & Sunday roast served by hosts Dave, Jackie & their team. 5 min drive from St Ives, didn't cause us an issue. This is quite a remote spot so would need a car as not much within walking distance. Excellent base for touring the extreme 'Pointy end'

Great little hotel in a quiet area. Very good for exploring St Ives and Carbis Bay. Car is definitely required.

This was our second year at The Countryman; we were in a different family room this year which was just as comfortable as the year before, I think I probably preferred the layout of this room but both were lovely. Our hosts, Jackie and David were great and nothing is ever too much trouble. Great choice at breakfast and we were pleased to see the pool table was still there! See you again soon!!

Very friendly and helpful staff

From arrival to check out the hosts were excellent, friendly and welcoming. Everything was explained from breakfast times and rules if you want specifics. Rooms were extra comfortable and the cosy evening room with drinks and a pool table were superb. Not a bad word to say.

This is a brilliant little place. The owners Jackie and Dave are superb hosts making everybody feel welcome. The breakfast is 5 star as well. We will definitley be back.

Lovely accommodation and great hosts, would definitely stay again

We felt at home and relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic large family room, great breakfast and a relaxing and comfortable little bar lounge. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely quiet location close to St Ives. Very friendly hosts made us very welcome. No room service due to covid but offered to replace towels etc.

This is a hotel 8min drive from St.Ives, the room was very quiet and of descent size with very comfy beds and pillows. It was very clean and everything was in new condition with new carpets, electric shower brand new too, wardrobe big and drawers enough to accommodate our clothes etc. The owners are always there so if you need anything they will help you right away. The breakfast was really nice, proper full English. There was also pre packed pan au chocolat, croissants, waffles, jams, coffee, tea, juice etc. It has a nice fireplace where you can sit and relax after a long day out and enjoy the beers they have on tap. I had a chat with the owners and they seem to keep updating the hotel all the time and to be honest it looks updated as well. All in all we were happy with everything around this hotel, including their gorgeous cat. If you don't want to be on top of each other like they are in st.Ives, then this hotel is for you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Countryman. Lovely spacious room - super comfy master bed, clean, nicely decorated. The breakfast included was exceptional. Friendly and helpful hosts. Would definitely stay here again.
