An old quirky building full of character but the main staircase is demanding. Our room was comfortable and in keeping with the building. Staff were generally helpful and friendly especially Caroline who got each day off to a great start with her helpful advice about the local attractions. Food was good quality with a variety of choices. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Het hotel heeft een bed voor je, daar is alles mee gezegd. Zelfs alle deuren waren plakkerig, bah. De badkamer die niet op de foto op website staat snap, bah vies en oud met gaten onder de prullenbak, oeps. De douche is zeer oud en zeer klein amper naar binnen te stappen ook door slanke mensen, en douchekop hangt hoog en vast dus alleen even afspoelen gaat niet . Het bed voor twee erg smal en loopt af aan de zijkant dus opletten anders lig je er naast. Kortom is geen goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding; kostte 112,- moet max 60,- zijn, heel jammer

Great location. We used the car park nearby as hotel car park was full which is only a short walk. Staff very friendly. Hotel in good condition and great character. Would definitely stay again and explore Lynton a bit more.

Everything has been fantastic, from the friendly welcome, easy parking, comfy sofas, large bedroom with super-comfy four-poster bed, delicious dinner and superb breakfast. Absolutely nothing to criticise, would definitely recommend and will definitely return when passing this way again.

Great 18th century coaching inn right in the middle of Lynton. Great room, staff, the dog was made really welcome and most importantly a great breakfast. Helios.

A lovely old hotel with lots of character in charming Lynton. Would love to come back. Good restaurant and bar downstairs. Included breakfast was very nice with lots of choices.

L’hôtel est très bien situé. Le personnel est formidable et très accueillant. La décoration des chambres date, les meubles en formica et la salle de bains nous font remonter le temps de quelques décennies ! il faudrait rafraîchir un peu.

A good find as it was a reasonably priced place to stay in Lynton.Comfortable very clean room, nicely decorated. Good facilities in the room. A nice well presented breakfast. Parking facilities were somewhat limited, but we managed to find a spot.

Great place to stay in the middle of Lynton. Comfortable and large room, breakfast was brilliant, as was the food (and drink) in the bar.

Old building with plenty of character. Clean, comfortable rooms. Think the owners are gradually refurbishing property so some areas still in need of updating. Our bedroom looked like it had been refurbished but bathroom still waiting to be done. Breakfast service excellent value for money. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Brilliant and accommodating. Rooms were really clean and cosy. The hotel went the extra mile with a packed breakfast in the morning to make sure I didn’t miss out as had to leave early for a running event. Area is beautiful. Would recommend.

Our first stay at the Crown was very enjoyable. Warm welcome from owners Lee and Rachel and their lovely staff. Breakfast to suit all tastes, a good range of value for money bar meals cooked to order and a range of local real ales to quench your thirst after a long walk!! Clean and comfortable room. Would recommend and would definitely book again. (Thanks to Lee our dog now expects chopped sausage for breakfast)!!

A return visit for us. Superb, relaxed & friendly atmosphere. Very comfy, clean rooms, with excellent beds. Great food & drink. Lee, Rachel and their team are very welcoming and helpful. An ideal base for exploring Lynton, Lynmouth, Exmoor and surrounding areas. We very much enjoy staying there, thoroughly recommend The Crown Hotel, and are looking forward to another visit soon!

We much enjoyed our overnight stay at The Crown Hotel with its interesting village setting the accommodation was good as was the friendly atmosphere in this pub which provided a good menu of well prepared meals. The proprietors are friendly and helpful our room was comfortable and the location in really attractive countryside steeped in history. Everything worked well good wifi and an excellent breakfast. Really memorable was the atmosphere which fostered a very enjoyable evening in the bar with other guests. Its very convenient to Durham but car use is pretty essential.
