Staff were fine. Restaurant food was good as was continental breakfast Our room was disappointing. Water damaged ceiling not repaired, carpet dreadful, needed decorating. Bathroom fittings OK but surrounds/tiling needed replacing

Possibly one of the worst hotels I’ve been to in a long time! Literally terrible from the first minute. Arrived on Tuesday evening and had to call the reception staff who was miserable and had no personality at all. Was like I was inconveniencing him. Got the keys to room one and entered the room and it was like a homeless shelter. Marks on the carpet and walls. Cracks in the wall as well. Loud extractor fan going all day outside the window and painfully dire view of it. The bathroom was awful with a broken toilet seat and a shower which leaked and roasted you to death due to the thermostat not working. Told staff at reception about this and not a care in the world and weren’t interested at all. Nothing was fixed or rectified. Breakfast was pathetic and was the cheapest continental breakfast on the planet with a quarter cup of tea to wash it down. So many other problems but forget it, glad it’s over! Do not, under any circumstances go to this hotel. If you are planning to book this hotel, just go to a local homeless shelter, it will be better than this!

Great food

Lovely welcome, friendly, personable staff, comfortable beds and pillows. Excellent customer service at bar and restaurant.

When I arrived there wasn’t a member of staff at reception. I had to wait around 5 minutes before someone arrived. I was given the “penthouse suite” (room 12). Straight away when I opened the door an awful odour lingered around the room. The cleaners had obviously noticed the same thing and opened all the windows and turned the desk fan on prior to my arrival. The room itself could do with re-decorating, as there were chips of paint out of the doors, the cream carpets within the room were absolutely disgusting and could do with either a deep clean or ripping up completely. The bathroom had a very dated bath and showering wasn’t an option as they only had the head and no where you could hang up. I didn’t eat within the hotel as everything I’d experienced put me off. On a brighter note parking wasn’t an issue. But I would never stay here again.

comfortable room, slightly aged room with cracking paint, but well set out and comfy with nice finishes with cushions etc. Breakfast was a set continental - No choices, which let it down.

Complained about fan noise and heat of the room

This is a tired hotel which, on the day I visited (which was hot and therefore needed the windows open) was noisy from the bar and had no car parking (because the bar was busy). The bathroom only had a hand held shower and bathroom was also tired. Breakfast was continental only up to 9am and only available from 7:30am (not great if you are working).

Next to dorridge station. Nice and neat room. Good

We arrived late on Sunday so went to the bar at 9.20pm and bought a bottle of wine only to be told that tge bar was shutting at 9.30pm and we could take the bottle to our room !!! The continental breakfast was very poor and no marmalade in the hotel for toast at breakfast.

Booked for our customers and was highly praised by them.

Cooked breakfast only available after 9am ..no use to many business travellers..Parking is a nightmare as around teatime the carpark is filled with people using the pub and very little parking around the st ..had to repark at 10pm
