Breakfast was really good quality. Room spotless, bed was comfortable and plenty of storage space. Only downside to the room that we had, Historic Double, there was no window covering in the bathroom and the window glass was clear, this could easily be remedied with a small portable privacy screen or window privacy film

The Haycock is a wonderful hotel. The shower in the room was unbelievable - talk about a powerful shower - fab! Food and service were all great and the decor is quality. Only slight niggle was the early check in policy to be charged £30 just to drop a bag in my room - I didn't bother.

Enjoyed our stay in a garden room. Although the gardens aren’t totally finished it’s nice to see the progress being made and on a sunny day it’s nice to have direct access. Fantastic meal in the kitchen restaurant. We had dined in prevost on previous occasions but the standard of dishes in the other restaurant was great. Friendly reception when we arrived. Breakfast is fantastic. If you are looking for a night or two to relax in a pretty and period setting then this hotel is recommended.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Haycock Manor Hotel. Spacious clean room, great shower, excellent breakfast and food at the bar/in courtyard.
And the staff was helpful and very friendly.
Happy to recommend to anyone wanting to stay somewhere special in this beautiful area.

Beautiful building and grounds. The staff were fantastic and very welcoming. The hotel is very dog friendly. We had a room with a door to a private patio and access to the gardens. Our wee dog absolutely loved it. The gym is ok for a hotel, with a decent amount of weights and a few cardio machines.
The highlight had to be the incredible food we had for dinner. They deserve their three rosettes. It really was a wonderful meal. The bar and outside seating area was lovely on a warm evening too. We would love to stay again.

Beautiful hotel in picturesque Wansford. What a lovely location, quaint village. Walks by the riverside and a fantastic facility. Both dinner & breakfast were great, great choice of wines and beers at the bar. Lovely outside area to sit and take in the atmosphere. I'd imagine a great wedding reception could be had here. Lots of outside space including a large marquee whilst I was there. Shout out Thomas who was nothing less than a perfect host in the bar. Can't recommend this gem enough.

Wow what a fabulous find this hotel was. From the moment we walked through the door we were met by a friendly receptionist who showed us around. We had a garden patio room and it was gorgeous. Our evening meal was divine, I had Stonebass and my husband had Tomahawk Pork. Breakfast was outstanding, the best my husband says he has ever had! We will be returning.

Our room had a very comfortable bed and pillows and the decor was calm and stylish.
The bathroom was also very smart. There was a large mirror in the bedroom for me to do my make up but no plug socket nearby for the hairdryer or my hot brush. One strange thing was there was no light switch for the bathroom, the light seemed to come on automatically at times and also go off just as randomly leaving you in the complete dark! It also meant that we had to take the room key out of the main point by the door in order to stop the bathroom light from staying on through the night. This is a beautiful hotel, each public room very elegantly and differently styled and Wansford is a really pretty village.

lovely setting in the bucolic village of Wansford, elegant hotel with very well kept and attractive interior. Check in was great with a very helpful member of staff, full of information about the hotel and different dining styles.
We had a great night in a comfortable room, well appointed.
Our only problem was that the breakfast service was very slow. I understand that the service was very busy but from arrival to redelivery of our breakfast was over 3/4 of an hour, and some people who arrived after us were served before us. I guess that we were forgotten and staff thought that someone else was looking after us.
When the breakfast did arrive it was very good. Sadly, the delayed service marred what would otherwise have been a great stay. If we return to the area we would saty again but try to ensure a speedier service for our breakfast.

On the whole enjoyed our one night stay. Property is lovely and our ground floor room was clean and warm. Only downside was black mold on the shower tray edge but the power shower was awesome.The breakfast room is nicely decorated and the food on offer was of excellent quality and well cooked.goos continental selection.
Overall it is a lovely hotel and we would stay again.
