The breakfast offered a variety including fruit, croissants, toast, hard boiled eggs a variety of cereals and porridge. As well as hot and cold drinks.
The staff were very helpful in providing extra bed covers.

Relatively a bit far from city center but quiet in the night. Using the bus fully good experiece shuttling many places to the hotel. The reception gentleman took the effort to post my postcard as no post was neaby.

The staff are lovely and can’t be faulted. The room was clean but thats it for the positives. The bed/matress was horrendous, so soft that you actually rolled into the middle with out moving, the pillow was paper thin they might as well of not bothered. The headboard isn’t even attached to the bed so banged every time we so much as coughed. The bathroom again was clean but the shower is tiny, not enough space to raise your arms and wash your hair with out banging your elbows. Breakfast…was questionable…not continental at all. Nothing at all cooked either. We had toast. We had to park on the road as the “parking on site” is 4 spaces and that’s it!! Overall we would not stay again!!

A very basic old hotel, limited parking so you need to park on the street. Basic continental breakfast, no tongs for lifting bread etc. Terrible coffee machine.
Rooms are outdated and very basic, strangest bath/shower configuration i have ever seen and anyone over 6ft tall will struggle to use. Bath taps loose and moved when try to use them, bathroom shelf hanging off the wall and the roller blind stained with multiple dead spiders.
No aircon, although a small fan was in the room and the windows had to be propped open

The rooms are clean but they are dated but this is in theme with the hotel. Room was a decent size. The pillows were awful but luckily we took our own. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. Parking was easy.
All in all, was a good base for the city and for Anfield stadium.

Charged extra £15 for check in at 10:30 pm when it was not agreed upon booking. No WiFi password provided and not available in the rooms. High risk of fall in bathroom as wet floor with no holding railing which is health and safety issue that must be reported. Very hot day and night but no drinking water supplied and cannot be purchased either. Lots of misinformation by staff. Strict time slot for breakfast as if we are in a military barracks or a hostel instead of a hotel. Lots of mosquito bites. I paid for two days but left after one night. Intolerable. Do not recommend this hotel at all

On arrival, the receptionist was unfriendly, her direction about where the rooms were was very poor and despite going back to her, she did not bother to physically move to support. This is after she asked if it was the first time for us to stay in the hotel. I did not feel that it was necessary to pay £100 deposit for our stay. I have never experienced this in bigger/ higher quality hotels.
The beds were very uncomfortable.
A different receptionist on our check out the next day, was very friendly and helpful.

This is a cool, slightly funky/charming British hotel. Lovely decor, not a cookie-cutter hotel. The staff are absolutely excellent. Exterior doors are a bit funny, with various little signs taped up about how to get in and out, and the layout of my room was unique - clearly a re-purposed space.
But the bed and bathroom were fantastic.
I’d recommend the Mountford for those who want a little taste of proper England for their visit (note: actual British people were staying there, always a good sign!)

The staff and cleanliness is very good.
There was no hot water in both the tap and showers. Could not have a shower and we had a body wash using cold water.
The bed are very old and soft . There was a depression on the left side while lying down which is the area people sit when they are about to climb into the bed.
The room we used should not have been used for paying customers. I don’t know if other rooms are the same. Beds need changing and showers sorting out.
I also had issues of my money being taken twice and I was told it’s a well known problem. I booked one room and they took money for two rooms which I managed to cancel. I then noticed the deposit again was taken twice £100 instead of £50 which gets refunded back. They promised me that the monies will be returned to me in 10 working days.
Staff were good and took time to explain and written down my complaints. I hope they do sort the issues above

Very dated, side lamps hanging off wall, toilet seat not fitted properly, only one pull down blind, seats in bar really grubby arms. Parking good, breakfast had only full fat milk, very cheap products real shame!!

The Mountford Hotel was easy to find,adequate parking and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
