Staff helpful and friendly, hard working too. Decor poor, bathroom tatty, shaver light not working, outside carpets not hoovered. Breakfast choice average but well cooked. No evening meal option although advertised as available. Telly remote control batteries duff.
Over priced for what it is. If priced appropriately I would return, but otherwise, no.

The property was beautifully decorated, staff were extremely helpful and polite, customer service was excellent.
The only issue that we had was the shower in our room, it had absolutely nothing about it, there was no pressure whatsoever, purely a trickle of water!

Stayed for a week whilst at the IOW festival with the wife.
Fantastic check in experience with Ewan (think that was his name). Guy couldn't do enough to help but was rather embarrassed that the room had not been made into a double from a twin so had to call house-keeping to come back to hotel and resolve, this was at 4pm ish.
Room was small and rather dysfunctional, side lamps and TV didn't work. En-suite so tiny you couldn't really get yourself ready in there. Shower is a strong term to use, more of a trickle with temps inconsistent. It was a step up from camping at the festival however.
I'm guessing they are only just coming into proper season as the jacuzzi and pool needed a good clean.
A distinct lack of the bosses about. The family that run it are very pleasant but absent in general once breakfast has been dealt with. What a breakfast though, stunning plate full of quality food to set you up for the day.
Location is brilliant just 5 mins walk to the beach, town, Shanklin Chine etc.
Price of a pint went up from £6 to £6.50 during my stay which seemed a bit weird.
Clearly some money needs spending on the hotel and, as a business owner myself, the managers need to be about more to make it work as the staff are effectively being left to firefight which is not ideal.

The hotel is well-located and decorated with an interesting theme. The breakfast is very good value for the price and the pool, sauna and jacuzzi are a nice addition. The room was a good size and had all the amenities you would need. It was extremely hot when we stayed, but they had provided a fan to help with this. The main issue was the shower which was barely a trickle. When we arrived to check in, no one was available and other guests were also waiting at reception. This happened again on more than one occasion. It seems like the hotel needs to employ more staff so people are always available. When the staff were around, they were very friendly, polite and helpful.

Arrived at hotel early evening, got to room to find tv not working, spoke to receptionist who looked at it whilst we were out for food, I told them it wasn't too much of a problem as I could use my laptop. Returned to hotel reception stated there was a problem with the TV. I said it was ok ill use my laptop. Room was basic with a handbag in the room separate from the shower in toilet, fan in shower stays on for an hour fater Turing all off, theres a constant blue light coming from an electric mirror that you cannot turn off, then there are 2 very bright spotlights shining up at the hotel from the front which emit so much light, that comes through sides and top of closed curtains. I tried to explain this the the manager in the morning who was really quite aggressive towards me.. stating tv was working etc, it was me not turning it all on correctly, even though I was told by night receptionist it wasn't working, 10 mins later the night receptionist had an aggressive go at me too... all in all a very poor night's sleep plus very very poor customer service skills by the management.

Lovely boutique style hotel quirky decor communal areas very nicely designed.
Our room on the ground floor was small with the wash basin in the bedroom not in the bathroom. Towels changed and house keeping done daily.
Lovely dining room the Full English Breakfast was good although a little pricey. No evening meals. The bar area and lounge was welcoming and comfortable.
The outside area inc swimming pool was not in use, possibly too early in the season (11 - 15 May). A few parking space’s are available at the back of the hotel, first come basis.
The staff were welcoming and friendly, especially Ewan who was very attentive during our 4 night stay
Ideal location for getting to Shanklin’s beach front esplanade and to Shanklin old town with its small local shops,pubs and cafes.

This hotel is well situated and the reception and bar areas are top class. The staff also are not to be faulted, providing a warm welcome and nothing too much trouble.
The bedroom and decor however, leave much to be improved upon. Poor paint finishing, a wash basin in the main bedroom area separate from the shower and toilet, a dreadfully weak shower and a strange pump noise going on throughout the day/night intermittently.
All easily remedied which would make this welcoming hotel one of the best in Shanklin I reckon.

A lovely hotel in the perfect location with helpful, pleasant staff. The rooms however are tired and need an update to reflect the downstairs of this hotel. The shower has no pressure, the toilets are run on a very noisy macerater and generally the rooms require a total refurb which i understand from the new Managers is in hand.
