Overlooking the beach and close to the town

Very friendly staff

Stayed for two nights over the bank-holiday weekend. Our room was fairly small, but had a great sea view, and we were lucky enough to have a private balcony. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. The shower was good, and we weren't disturbed by other guests. Breakfast included a good range of both hot and cold options, although on the hotel was very busy on the weekend we stayed and I think they were struggling to keep up. The dining room was spacious and had great views. We were lucky and managed to get a free parking space right outside the hotel. There is a car park just over the road if not, however it does get very busy. The hotel is within walking distance of the town centre and the beaches. I would happily stay here again.

Beach view absolutely beautiful, parking not as bad as people say, providing your car is not big, the hotel provide secure parking behind & there is a huge carpark down the steps to the front. Staff friendly on arrival, accommodated every need. Could do with a fresh lick of paint, but overall fabulous stay, will most likely be back, thank you.

This hotel was very uncared for. Reception had a horrible smell, the rooms were very run down, boiling hot with broken radiators, and absolutely NO hot (or even warm) water! The windows were filthy so the lovely sea view was ruined I would not stay again

I did not like anything I paid lots of money to go to a 2 stars hotel. Old and not clean carpet.not to find a single toast bread after breakfast until next day Can not sleep well as windows are so old and wind was 42 klm Information on expedia site from this location is not match from what you see the reality.

Very dated property & no atmosphere

The room was clean and airy and couldn't fault the service.

I was In a back room right on the road so very noisy. Generally good location for st Ives and SWCP. Good for my requirements of 1 night B and B.

Stayed there before always found clean tidy did get upgrade this time. Food always good . But it has changed hands, next year will try it again if we can afford it . Always friendly staff also free parking was a bonus .

good room, great price, good location. staff friendly. The hotel is a little rundown and getting old and showing her age but a full renovation is coming in October. The hotel would have been a grand hotel in her day and will look forward to coming back one day when she is renovated. There are numerous bad reviews of this hotel but we found it it a good place to stay. We didn't have a beach side room but for somewhere to dump your bags a comfy bed and room did the job.

Not clean at all. Bed was awfully hard to sleep on. Room has mysterious stains and marks everywhere , with even stained towels

The room had been upgraded however the walls were marked, hole in the wall, no hot water in the shower, carpet was stained. Breakfast was delicious, all staff were really welcoming, friendly.

The bathroom was basic, black mould under shower door, curtains were grubby in living area which had holes in lining light could been seen through them. Ceiling paper was peeling off, main window couldn't be opened only with a block of wood. Carpets weren't clean, stained throughout. Wouldnt stay again. Interesting to read other comments from previous people!

Stayed here for 4 days. The property is about to be renovated and is very dated. But you get what you pay for. Great location, great views of the sea and beach. Difficult to get into the bathroom due to narrow opening between entrance and the shoer. But the shower is excellent. Well worth it for the money we paid. But renovation is literally about to start as of March 2026.
