In total it is a good accommodation. Good location and access, and kind staff. Wifi connection in the room was very weak.

レセプションは無人で、電話をして暗証番号と部屋番号を管理人に教えてもらう必要がある。 イギリスで通話できる電話を持っていくことと、必要最低限の英会話能力が必要。 へやは薄汚れているが、枕元には電気ポットとティーバッグ、コーヒー等が用意されている。 しかし、電気ポットの中は何となく水垢でぬめっているように感じた。 チェックアウトする日、朝起きたらペンキ屋さんが来て 階段周辺のペンキ塗りを始めていた。 その階段を通らないと外に出られないのですが・・・。 周辺にはスーパーマーケットがあり、旧市街のほぼ真ん中にあるため、 どこへ行くにも便利。

Very out dated, cobwebs in the room,& a banana had been left by previous guest, so not very clean.

It was OK. Location was great, room was very basic, dated and tiny. Good to have parking, but was charged £10 cash for this although advertised as free parking..

Friendly professional service small but adequate room for my wife and I for a one night stay close to the centre comfortable and warm bed with small en-suite, definitely worth the very reasonable price, we would use again most definitely

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff was very nice and friendly.

Great location in centre of York, walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants and the Barbican centre. Room itself was dated, no central heating, just two small stand-alone heaters (which did heat the room) and small bathroom with shower. Tea and coffee facilities were a nice touch.

Loved the staff they were very helpful, friendly and courteous. Room was spotless and well worth the money paid.

It’s ok and what you expect for the price in the city centre. The rooms are very dated but clean. The noise from the bars surrounding is loud as the old windows don’t really block much noise. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. If you’re on a budget and just need a basic room for 1 night this place will do.

It was ok, for the price about what you would expect, small TV and en-suite not the cleanest of places.

Good location but as it's attached to the pub it was noisy at night from people plus could hear noise from upstairs/next door. Room was sufficient for one night. Pillows were a little on the soft side. Bathroom compact, shower good. Can get discount on breakfast as staying there. All staff that I interacted with were very nice and helpful, could leave luggage to collect later. It was very close to shops and restaurants.

Rooms were musty, mold in the showers, hair all over the sinks. Carpet staples sticking up out of the carpet where my husband cut his foot walking in. Wouldn't even have stayed one night if we had the choice but there was no where else to stay in York as everything was fully booked. So we ended up sleeping with all our clothes on and a hood up. The only good thing about this property is the one employee they have working for them who was polite and kind. Gave poor service for Staff & Service as when we tried to deal with the manager they just ignored our concerns.

We booked the accommodation last minute during York Food Festival, so availabilty was limited to the small double room. Small is an understatement. The bedroom was pretty grim with no opening windows, a small oscillating fan and a metal rack for clothing. There was a tiny, unnoticeable step into the bathroom, perfect for toe stubbing and the shower screen surround was pitted. That said, the breakfast and coffee was good and the staff were lovely. We glanced into other rooms which looked perfectly okay, so maybe we were unlucky with our choice.

The staff are exceptional! They are very friendly, helpful and go above and beyond for you. We couldn’t have asked for better. The breakfast in the pub below was good. When we needed ice for our sodas in our room they happily gave it to us. We were even allowed to check in early with no problems. High marks to the staff!! It’s in a wonderful and central location! Super close walk to the sites of York! The rooms are very dirty and in need of DEEP cleaning; new furniture and a complete overhaul. If they’d clean the rooms it would be a great place to stay. Again, amazing location and some of the best staff I’ve ever encountered!

Check-in was straightforward, and the room was clean and functional with basic amenities like coffee-making facilities and a warm shower. However, our stay was seriously disrupted by loud drilling and hammering starting around 08:15 right outside our window. The noise was so loud and went on for a couple of hours, making it impossible to get a restful lie-in. It’s likely this work has been going on for weeks before our stay, yet the hotel gave no warning or apology. This feels like a failure on the hotel’s part — guests should be informed about ongoing construction or work, especially if it affects their comfort so dramatically. A restful stay was completely ruined, and for that reason, I can only give 2/5.

While the room was a bit small, the location was great. You can walk to almost any of the many old-town attractions. There is a decent restaurant/bar below the hotel. The staff was all very friendly. And, as a bonus, there is free secure parking on the lot just behind the hotel (you enter through a gate that goes under the 2nd floor). It's a bit loud until 11:00 (on the weekend) and then very quiet afterward. Despite the crowded room, we loved it and would go back.

Mattress was very soft, not good for the back. Staff were friendly and welcoming, good parking facilities and only a few minutes walk from the town centre.

This is the first time I was disappointed with a hotel booked through Expedia. From the very start, I should’ve been advised to take a cab from the train station to the Watergate Inn since there are crowds of people on narrow streets and uneven sidewalks. Traipsing through York with luggage and a bag was not pleasant. The room was junky looking. One of the chairs was dirty and soiled. The other chair was from their outside patio. Could NOT take a shower. Once I turned on the water, it started filling up in the base of the shower stall. Also saw mold in shower. Glad I only booked one night there.
