ザ ウェリントン ホテル

写真と実物では大違いだった。一階がうるさいバーという大想定外で到着と同時に絶望。 部屋にはエアコンもアメニティも全くなく、注文しても方針で置いてないの一点張り。ルームメーキングはチェックアウトまで一切無しでした。スタッフが親切だったのが救いでした。

Lovely hosts, rooms are dated but very convenient to our appointment. Good if there is a group, would consider if I was down this way again

Leckeres, kleines Full English Breakfast

Parking was away from hotel & didn’t feel safe - rough area by bus station. Although thankfully our car was fine in the morning. The stairs going up to the room were smelly & dirty & the carpet in the room horrid. Didn’t want to take shoes off. That said the bed linen & towels & bathroom were clean with lovely white sheets. Probably our fault for choosing pub accommodation. Was convenient for the places we wanted to visit

Generally nice all round

Nice location, our room was adjoining and the ppl next door were very noisy which ruined it a bit. Nice breakfast room was ok but a bit dated. Nice staff

Meget dårlig oplevelse. Værelset var møg beskidt. Der hang brugte håndklæder på badeværelset som også var meget beskidt og slidt. Sengen skulle man ligge midt i for ikke at rulle ud, da den var så slidt og blød i kanten. Tv’et virkede heller ikke. Find et andet hotel hvis det er muligt.

The location is great and it was great to stop by for one night. The breakfast and service were really friendly. The room we stayed was fine for one night. Could be cleaner (dust). Maybe it was not used for a while. The bathroom probably needs better ventilation as there are some mouldy spots.

Staff are nice, room was clean. Wake up every morning with voice of seagulls. One option breakfast which is good

Situato in un tipico pub.Atmosfera tipica e deliziosa.Cibo fantastico sia a cena che a colazione (solo English breakfast). Letti comodi e spaziosi. Bagno non eccezionale.

Not good dirty bathroom

Check in at The Wellington is at the bar of the pub. My two daughters aged 5 and 8 and I had to wait in line at the bar which was all men and quite intimidating. Eventually a really unfriendly barmen gave us the key. I expressed my concern that the hotel wasn’t child friendly but he told me there was no way to cancel and get any refund. To be honest it in no way resembles a hotel, it’s some rooms overlooking a busy pub’s courtyard where the patrons go to smoke. There was one window in the room that opened to the courtyard and the room smelled of cigarettes. We didn’t feel comfortable having our young kids sleeping in a pub courtyard. It would be fine for adults if you didn’t mind the noise or lack of privacy but it’s really unsuitable for kids. I contacted the hotel politely asking for any refund as we didn’t stay there but they just replied saying they’d checked their CCTV and no one was smoking next to our window. I’ve never left a negative hotel review before but this was pretty awful, such a shame, we were really looking forward to it.

The staff were very kind! The food at their restaurant was absolutely delicious!!! Our room was comfortable, but the bed sheets were a little stained (and so was one of the two towels), and the shower temperature was hard to control and maintain! But, overall, this was a great property and we’d gladly stay again!!

It is a room above a pub so expected a bit of noise but as it was hot we had to keep the window open, no fans etc. The room was clean but dated and could do with some maintenance. Breakfast, as others have suggested, is very limited with strict one of anything ie one hot beverage, one glass of orange, etc.

Did'nt have any food. No reception only man behind the bar. Where I had to wait for him to finish serving. Was not as show on ads. As I went up stairs to my room, I found the stair carpet and banister very dirty. The room was basic and clean and very noise. No worth the price charged. It was more like staff accommodation not a hotel.

Great staff and time here.

Yes! It’s a very typical hotel with a local atmosphere of the immediate surrounding as the village is and a lovely littel town
