Rooms were very nice spacious and clean toilets were really clean. If only the hotel could add mini fridges for rooms would be 10 on 10 over all I recommend this hotel for stay 🙂

We booked the hotel because it advertised disabled access and accessible bedrooms. My father is wheelchair bound and therefore access is extremely important as it is challenging travelling with him. When we arrived the hotel lifts were out of order. The staff said the only option was to use the staff service lift which is through 4 doors which don't hold open and are very narrow on the ground floor. It was extremely challenging to get him to and from his bedroom and he found it very distressing. The wheelchair lifts to/ from the hotel restaurant kept getting stuck and the emergency stop button was missing from one of them so we had to prize the stuck button open to use the lift. Both dangerous and stressful.
The hotel should have notified us that their lifts were not working so we could have found an alternative hotel that had proper disabled access.
The staff, whilst apologetic, obviously weren't at all bothered by our predicament and watched us struggle through doors and using the lift with no offers of assistance.
Absolutely disgusting from a hotel that gets such good reviews. Clearly they aren't from disabled users.

First time we have stayed and will definitely be going back, large clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, food really nice.
However! If the football is on and you want to watch it in a calm , nice environment this really isn't the place, its brilliant for football lovers, it was wall to wall people inside and out, it was a fight to get back to our room ! I loved the atmosphere! Felt sorry for the staff as they didnt know where to start .
All in all a lovely hotel, lovely food, beautiful views and comfy rooms

The property was very clean in the rooms but the veranda was really dirty and dusty it looked like it had never been cleaned the bed was really clean and comfortable and it had a massive TV in the room and some exercise things too. The bathroom was clean and towels were lovely and with toiletries provide it was a bit far from train station to walk but the bus stop was nearby as it was a bit expensive to use taxis. They had lots of outdoor space to eat and drink as you were next to the Caversham bridge where you could get a boat ride it had lots of things going on inside the hotel a gym,swimming pool, sauna and steam room and jacuzzi. There was good air conditioning in the room due the the really hot weather a good coffee maker was also in the room it was a bit exspensive as there wasn’t any breakfast included but all in all a wonderful stay
