Of all the hotels the i have stayed at all over the world this has been my best experience. If you are planning any excursions please use the travel guide Belay. He is very knowledge about the history past and presnt of this area with reasonable rates.

My family and I were originally staying here for two night to visit Lalibela during X-mas. We then needed to extend our stay an extra night to visit the city more, the owner Habtamu was able to help us accommodate a room during the busy X-mas season. He also was able to upgrade our room into a suite because I had extra guests that tagged along and werent going to fit into our original double room. The location of the hotel is close to the churches of Lalibela so we were able to get there in 10-15 mins walking. The view from the hotel of the city was beautiful. The rooms were in excellent condition and surprisingly comfortable with touches of traditional Ethiopian decorations. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Lalibela. Thank you Habtamu!

This property has a rustic appeal. The few staff working there are accommodating to the best they can. Its under renovation so I hope it will only improve with upgrades.
The view is pleasing and the food is good. The water was hot and the western toilet is a plus. Overall, it was a nice stay.
