I love it all

Hotel is good, but needs maintenance.

I had problems with getting checked in and out because of their system..

he said it may nasty burger and fries lotta oil

Will never recommend to no one

The staff was completely unresponsive and customer service was non-existent. I had a problem with extra services I paid for that were not provided. I was told that there were no managers on duty, who could address my concerns. The front desk finally called "the son of the owner" who was apparently the on call person when managers were not available. He refused to address my issues. In addition there was plenty of black mold growing above the shower. Bottom line if you have to go to Addis I recommend going anywhere but here.

Room: Smelly bathroom, recalking of tub needed, tub drains very slowly, saw a cockroach crawling through in the room Spa: I admit that I went in 30 mins before the closing time. But both the steam and sauna were not on and took more than 20 mins to warm up. Sauna actually didn’t get very warm. I needed to freshen up for a handful of hours before a red eye flight and chose this hotel for the access to the steam room and sauna. So I was very disappointed.

Not like the pictures at all. Runned down dirty and disappointing sums up this place. The room was filthy, missing the remote control to the tv, the fancy big shower jacuzzi was broken and smelled like mold. The lighting was horrible in the bathroom the walls were thin and the elevator was broken so be prepared to walk up a lot of stairs. The gym was nice but crowed and the spa was disappointing. I had a massage and it wasn’t good the room was bright zero music and very loud as I could hear other rooms and the gym while getting a massage. Dinner was good and the food was tasty and as it should have been prepared. Breakfast on the other hand was bad. The dood was cold or not served at the proper temperature the dining room was dirty with dirty table linens upon my arrival. Check out was fast and seamless. There are many other better options in Addis.

Friendly Staff great location

Not worth the price. Towels were old and faded. Staff didn’t wear masks. Lots of construction and dust going on around. Just wa not a pleasant experience.

My stay was awesome. Staff was great and very helpful going out of their way to provide excellent service. Hotel had good amenities. Shower had good pressure. Lights never went out. Housekeeping was daily and did a great job. Rooms are cozy and beds are comfortable. Location of hotel was convenient for shopping, restaurants and cafes. Close to Bole medhanealem, Edna mall. Few issues: stray dogs barking could be heard in the night; Could hear other room doors opening/closing in hallway.

The hotel is well located and the room was nice. The only downside: I had asked the airport pick-up at the time of my booking and since no one had replied to my request I called them just in the morning before my flight. They told me thay would have sent the driver to pick me but when I landed no one was there. I had to call them again to push them to send someone. They should be more focused on their clients needs.

Excellent hotel in a great location near the airport. The room was modern and the facilities in the hotel met expectations. I had dinner in the restaurant which was very good and the bar was pleasant. Breakfast was good too. I don’t know if it was because my stay was a Saturday night and perhaps it is principally a business hotel rather than a tourist place but I thought it exceptional value for money compared to other hotels I have stayed in in Addis Ababa. Sometimes hotels in Africa don’t merit their star rating but Magnolia Addis Hotel certainly does.

Our stay at Magnolia was at best mediocre. The hotel is a bit run down, and uncared for, and the staff too care little about the comfort and well-being of the guests. Our check-in was callous, no one told us about the gym, the pool or the spa. Our room had no electricity, the toilet leaked, the shower wouldn’t drain, the A/C stopped working - all the problems got tended to eventually, but with no urgency. The check-out was similar. When we were waiting for our taxi, as an afterthought the check-our agent told us she could if we’d like, get us the free shuttle to the airport that we were entitled to. Although quite well-located, and we had easy access to our activities in and around Addis, we would not go back here or recommend it to anyone.

The Magnolia is in a good location in central Addis, within walking distance to good restaurants. It's a pleasant hotel, quiet, offering very nice service. A few issues kept this from being a perfect stay but when I let the staff know about the problems with the room they worked hard to solve them immediately. Food is also quite nice.

Great fitness room - proper gym, and very nice pool. Very affordable spa and excellent massages. Room is exactly as pictured and was quiet. Staff are very friendly and hospitable, but only a couple of them have any real knowledge of tourism. I had only two days and was working part of the time, so was hoping for a bit more guidance. Finally, I was able to organize a short tour with Fanta Tadesse, a guide and driver, who was fantastic, but the rest of the staff need to be trained to provide essential and basic tourism/concierge services and perhaps collaborate with Fanta to create a list of sites and activities he can take people to visit.

Good location next to restaurants. Clean room with fast wifi. Eccentric staff who were unpredicatble and could be extremely helpful or difficult depending on who was on rhe front desk. This made the stay unpleasant overall.

Very comfortable property with FREE airport shuttle! I enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and feature a small balcony overlooking the Bole district. I did not avail of breakfast or the pool, so I cannot speak to those amenities. Service was friendly and courteous. I would return to this hotel. Overall this was just as comfortable as any 4-star hotel in North America (eg. Hilton, Holiday Inn)

Very friendly staff. Clean room. Good facilities (no time to use, except for modern TV with nifty apps. Good food. Location soso, bit close to shops and restaurants.
