Pleasantly surprised by the rooms and the food - good value option!

Food in the restaurant was limited but looked and tasted like it was Michelin star.

Was pleasantly surprised with the welcome, hospitality, food and accommodations. The surroundings and hiking were great. I would recommend the Hotel and town as must see.

If I could give this, no stars, I would give it no stars. There was black mold in our room. It reeked of sewage and our pillows were literal pancakes. Imagine putting your fingers together on either side of the pillow and that’s how thin they were. Food and restaurant was awful. It reminded me of kitchen nightmares and I was waiting for Chef Ramsey to come out of the kitchen. Additionally, the food was exorbitant expensive more expensive than any other restaurant. We have been to our whole trip in Torshvn.

Beautiful small village

Gjov is a small village and this the only place to stay. The food was delicious and service was excellent.

The View and the greate dinner at a fair price. Very nice breakfast.

Un séjour très agréable dans une chambre très spacieuse (dans l’annexe) et lumineuse, avec une vue imprenable sur les montagnes et la Nature ! Le personnel a été très accueillant et disponible durant notre séjour. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre nuit sur place et recommandons l’hôtel les yeux fermés.

La estancia estuvo correcta,fuimos a la noche cultural que estuvo bien aunque las danzas feroesas un poco repetitivas. Lo que no me gustó fue el servicio en el buffet del desayuno, por cierto, bastante escueto. Llegamos hacia las 8:45 y ya no había reposición de bacon ni huevos revueltos porque según la camarera se habían terminado,hice notar mi asombro y repentinamente aparecieron los huevos……

Seul hebergement dans la region ... qui en profite sur les prix trop élevés pour qualite, propreté tres limite et manque de charme garanti. Le restaurant lui est tres correct.

A quaint little town and a good over night if you have been driving and hiking all day.

Rom uten utsikt, men bra nok for en overnatting. Fint rom med fantastisk utsikt på forsiden av hotellet. Frokosten var god. Vil anbefale.

I'll preface this by saying that while we were visiting, the Faroe Islands were in the midst of a strike that affected gasoline availability. As a result, the normal hotel staff seemed to be having trouble getting transportation to the hotel. Subsequently, the checkin and restaurant experience were very poor. The substitute staff seemed to be doing the best they could, but didn't seem to know protocols. We had to wait for an hour to get checked in (around 5pm) and couldn't get a table for dinner. Our room was tiny and looked like it used to be part of a hostel. There was an in-room bathroom, but it was a combined room where the shower and toilet were not separated from each other. The shower "curtain" was missing several hooks, so the entire bathroom was drenched when you took a shower. The views are beautiful, but the town is very tiny with only one coffee shop and no retail, other than the hotel itself. So not having any services at the hotel was challenging.

The rooms in this guesthouse were not as fresh and nice as the pictures. It was just - ok. It was a bit older than we thought and worn. Average clean. It was overpriced compared to the standard you got. The staff was nice and friendly. The town is amazing and please do the walk close to the guesthouse up the mountain to the left, the view is stunning! And you can choose how far to go, it was easier to walk there than I thought. That experience of nature in Gjogv was unforgettable! Many nice drives in the area close by. To sum it up - the outside amazing, the inside just good enough. But I would not miss out on Gjogv on my trip!

Die Unterkunft ist wunderbar! Wir sind angekommen und haben uns wie zuhause gefühlt. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gemütlich. Das Internet ist gut. Von der Unterkunft aus kann man tolle Wanderungen unternehmen. Der Ort als solcher ist ebenfalls sehr schön. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist das Frühstück, das jeden Tag frisch, abwechslungsreich und super lecker zubereitet wurde. Und das obwohl es aufgrund des aktuellen Streiks eine Lebensmittelknappheit gibt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen!

Fabulous location and a wonderful view from the Guesthouse. Very comfortable beds too! We spent two nights here and was a great location to visit other wonderful villages on the Faroes.

Excellent breakfast buffet, and the location is so beautiful and unique.
