Nice and quite place and clean. Quite few things to do around. We couldnt manage to do anything coz it was just a overnight stoo.

Joli hôtel mais prix un peu élevé pour la situation géographique

L'auberge est super. Le restaurant n'est pas a recommender. Joli assiete mais gout pas fin, pas gastronomique.

Ludwig, the owner was on the look-out for us as we arrived. Most helpful. Room all it should be and food was awesome. We hope to stay there again.

Très bel endroit plein de cachet, et délicieux dîner

L'établissement est propre et agréable et le personnel sympathique. Petit bémol sur le style un peu kitch des chambres et le fait de ne pas pouvoir ouvrir les rideaux (la chambre donne directement sur la terrasse du restaurant, donc il faut choisir entre lumière et intimité)

Très bien reçus et malgré l'arrivée tardive, nous avons pu dîner, ce qui est fort appréciable. Le personnel est très courtois et disponible. Le séjour fut rapide mais de qualité, je reviendrai sans hésitation.

Auberge du Cheval Blanc : accueil sympathique par le "maître des lieux". Personnel très présent et attentif. Chambre au premier assez spacieuse et bien équipée (coursive extérieure de déserte des chambres peut-être moins agréable.... l'hiver) Cadre très agréable, jolie jardin et grand calme. Extra en belle saison. Cuisine excellente. A recommander pour un w-end "saveurs" et "ballades forestières"...!

Een goed hotel dat door ons geboekt was voor eenmalige overnachting i.v.m. doorreis naar Dordogne. Het diner is geweldig maar te duur voor onze bestemming. Een port van 12 euro vinden wij toch echt buitenmaats.

Evaluation difficile cause arrivee et depart tres tot le matin

L'accueil du patron (gérant ? propriétaire ? chef de salle ?) était glaciale, à la limite du déséagrable. Le reste du personnel était charmant. La chambre, quoique petite et une porte difficile à fermer, était propre et la salle de bain très agréable. La lecture de la carte du restaurant et le décor soigné laissaient entrevoir une belle soirée. Déception : cuisine quelconque, vin de qualité très moyenne. Notre weekend gastronomie finit sur une note moyenne.

The room needed a window,as it was a very warm night and we couldnt ventilate the room. Hotel resturant was closed and following a long jouney it was inconveniant to go looking for a resturant. We where told about a place in another town that was open and we did enjoy a meal there.

A pleasant French country hotel. Not much in the surrounding area but the evening meal in the hotel fair value and quite good.

... particulièrement le restaurant. La chambre d'hôtel double (1er prix) était petite mais agréable avec une belle et spacieuse salle de bain. Les murs peint en vert n'étaient pas à notre goût mais ils n'ont pas été un obstacle pour bien dormir! Bonne literie, chambre propre, donnant sur la terrasse. Repas en terrasse avec une belle carte et un service efficace qui ne traîne pas. Les plats étaient excellents dans le menu végétarien. Belle pause avant de reprendre la route...

The hotel is conveniently situated in a small village not far from the A71. Hotel guests enter from the back of the hotel which is a bit confusing at first but a nice surprise as you enter through the nicely laid out courtyard and garden. Our room was spacious and newly decorated overlooking the courtyard. Dinner was superb with excellent service - one of us had the vegetarian menu - difficult to find in France and this was exceptional (though the main course wasn't as good as the many other delicious dishes that came before and after). Although my partner ordered only one dish a la carte he was given lots of delicious 'tasters' to keep him happy while I had my many courses. The oak beamed dining room was pleasant and looking into the courtyard and so light and bright despite being there on a dismal day in March. A large log fire was welcoming in the adjacent bar area with large sofas. Breakfast was in an upper room, not so characterful, but a large choice of breakfast dishes offered for extra cost if more than a continental breakfast wanted. Each of us had a large jug of coffee/hot chocolate to ourselves. All in all a nice experience.
