Very nice breakfast with lots of choices. Also enjoyed the bar at the hotel, the bartender made wonderful espresso martinis! The room was very nice but not very soundproof. It is not the hotels fault but we did have very noisy neighbours which made it difficult to sleep our first night.

A nice welcome at the property and the room was large and facilities fine. The first floor outside the room was fairly dark with litttle lighting, this did make the trip from top of the stairs to the room a little difficult, especially having come in from a very bright day. Breakfast was fine, although the same everyday. The bar was not always manned, with bar staff often doing other tasks and causing long waits. Some bar staff would attend to people at tables outside, others would not, meaning a walk to the bar. Finding the hotel was a problem as despite the car having Sat-Nav, La Rochelle does not seem to like the motor car and one-way streets meant getting close and then forcing you away, also the SatNav did not know about 'rising bollards' that prevent access to exactly where you want to go. Once we found the Place du Verdun car park, where we could abandon the car and walk a block, we were fine. The price of parking was reasonable.

We really liked this hotel. Location was pretty central and there is a public car park very close by. All the staff were very lovely. Breakfast was good. We were given a room upgrade to one with a balcony, which was great. The walk to the seafront wasn't too far. The only suggestion was that it would have been nice for the hotel to have made more use of its courtyard garden (maybe some outdoor lights for the evening). Overall a lovely hotel and we had a very good stay.

Really lovely old hotel in a quiet spot just outside La Rochelle’s old town. Everything’s within walking distance, which made it very convenient. Our room on the second floor was big, clean, and comfortable, with a street view. The garden out back is a great place to relax. We didn’t use the spa or restaurant, but the reception staff were helpful throughout our stay.

Great central location. Comfy bed. Fantastic friendly staff without exception. Extremely welcoming and great touch of dog bowls and biscuits. Some TLC needed in parts but overall stunning. Amazing breakfast for a celiac. The only drawback is no onsite secure parking but there is plentiful public parking only 90 seconds walk away.

A lovely grand building that is fairly central. This was the first time that we visited La Rochelle which was fab and well worth a stay

Un très bel hôtel bien situé. La chambre est grande, propre et confortable. La cour arrière entourée de verdure permet de prendre une pause dans un beau décor. Il est facile de se stationner dans le stationnement payant situé à une rue.

Tres bel hôtel. Chambre très confortable. Magnifique jardin intérieur. Bien situé. Seul petit bémol, pas de réfrigérateur dans la chambre.

Ils annoncent qu'un parking est disponible, mais pas du tout, le parking disponible est celui de la rue C'est donc de la publicités mensongère
