Characterful but basic Chalet hotel. Perfect base for walking. The owner was a fantastic host - he explained the evening meal (local produce, excellent and cooked by his wife) in great detail.He also explained the available wines and, of course, the history of Chatreause. As we were leaving the next morning, he insisted we drive to the end of the valley before we continued South - wow! It was really worth it with stunning mountain scenery.

we had a fabulous one night stay at Val Des Sources on 5th August. on arrival we were made very welcome and taken to our room which was in a separate area from the main hotel. the room was lovely and cool, clean and had a very comfy bed. After a swim in the pool and a game of table tennis in fantastic surroundings , we had dinner. This was a real food experience! everything was organic, locally sourced and home made, we thoroughly enjoyed it. A very tasty breakfast in the morning was followed by a walk, such a stunning area. There was a very chilled atmosphere at this hotel and we wished we could have stayed longer!!

The owner was a fantastic host - he explained the evening meal (local produce, excellent and cooked by his wife) in great detail.He also explained the available wines and, of course, the history of Chatreause.
