Room was spacious and clean. Reception staff was helpful. The breakfast that we included is well worth the value and convenience. Plus the choices are decent.

The hotel was fine, but is typical of many Athens hotels that have been converted cheaply and quickly. The lift was an old fashioned cage lift, while certain fittings in the room were cheap or poorly done (e.g. the bedroom door scraped against the floor and didn’t open fully). The bed was comfy enough, the shower had good water pressure and immediately got to a high temperature, and the staff were always really helpful. Ultimately, it worked for us for a single night, but it didn’t have a holiday feel, and depends on if you pay over €100.

Clean and comfortable place. We had a good time at this hotel. The Hotel location is nice as it is within walking distance to Monastiraki square ( about 10 minutes).

The property is modern and the beds are comfortable, but it’s extremely noisy if your room faces the busy main road bring earplugs. The area feels a bit sketchy and dirty, especially when walking to Plaka or major sites, though it is well lit at night. A major issue: I saw the front desk turn off the lights on guests still eating breakfast at 10:25 AM, telling them it ends at 10:30. Instead of just stopping food service, he argued with them and only turned the lights back on after complaints. Very poor treatment. Overall, I recommend staying closer to the Acropolis for similar prices, you’ll find cleaner, safer areas and a better experience.

Another place that does not look like the pictures posted. The rooms are tight and the patio upstairs not available at all. Good to sleep with convenient and safe parking next to. Convenient location to visit Athens by foot.

From the fluffy towels to the high-quality toiletries and the welcome drink, we felt pampered without any pretension. The room layout was smart and made excellent use of space.

You’re not stuck in the tourist crowds, but you’re still close to everything. The area is safe, with local spots around. The hotel itself was immaculate and felt brand new.

Alva was exactly what we hoped for—peaceful, clean, and beautifully decorated. The bed was incredibly soft, the lighting was warm and relaxing, and the staff treated us like old friends. We truly felt taken care of.

There’s a simplicity to this hotel that really resonated with me. It doesn’t try to impress with luxury—just delivers exactly what matters. Clean space, good energy, and helpful people.

It can be hard to find quiet accommodation in a city like Athens, but Alva was a wonderful surprise. Our room faced a quiet inner courtyard, and we had undisturbed sleep every night.
