アセナ パレス

Athena Palace is a small aparthotel, with 14 apartments on two levels, right in front of the fantastic Aegean sea, west side of Karpathos island. It is not on the main road, so you do not hear noises or traffic , only the constant sound of the waves and wind. Wifi is not very steady, but you do not really need it or care for this, in my opinion... Also, the kitchen equipment is a bit basic, but again you have plenty of tavernas to choose from anywhere on the island and there is no sense in cooking in the apartment (just breakfast maybe). The only thing that I would improve is the hot water pressure.... coming from solar panels it is not always strong enough to take long showers or wash long hair... but considering the unbeatable view from the private balcony and the quality of the sleep, I did not really care about having lukewarm water instead of hot for a few times... Ioana and Vasili, the owners, are nice and helpful. Ioana is always smiling, welcoming and helping with suggestions. Every day, after our exploration of the island, it was like going back home. This is a place where I would happily come back the next time, and I warmly recommend it!
