Il propretario fumava all ingresso dalla mattina alla sera, tutto il palazzo putzava di fumo!

So, where do I begin. First off, believe all the reviews about the owner! Don’t make our mistake thinking we’ll just stay out of his way. My partner and I booked this hotel via Expedia (6 nights end of September 2025). We arrived at 10.30pm to be told by the receptionist that we had to pay 60€, on top of the 30€ local tax (which is the only charge we were expecting to pay on arrival). They claimed Expedia did not charge us enough for the room. We attempted to dispute this, saying that is between you and Expedia, not us, as we had already paid in full to Expedia the quoted room price. The owner (old man) was there yelling at us and the receptionist (in Greek so not known what was being said). We asked what happens if we do not pay, and it was stated forthright, you will not be checked in. It was late, we were tired, so we reluctantly paid, as they were just not budging or being fair to their guests. Even if you have no direct encounter with the owner, you will hear him in the middle of the night. We were awoken several times during our stay from hearing him down at reception yelling at either guests or staff (I assume) even at 2am in the morning. The TV in the reception is often on at an extremely loud volume. I asked the receptionist if she could turn it down, and she said she was not allowed. I wish I never booked my stay here!!

Checked in and had to pay additional 45 euro fee due to internal issue with expedia. Sheets smell like cigarettes. Second evening door key didnt work. Waitied at front desk while hotel staff were in a heated argument for 5 minutes. Room on second floor, could hear them yelling till 11:30pm. Checked out a day early to go elsewhere. Definitely avoid.

Extremely bad smoking smell all over the hotel. Despite EU regulations that explicitly ban smoking indoors, there were people constantly smoking at the reception / breakfast area. The smells would even come from the ventilation in the room.

No complaints. Basic needs met no glitz or glam but fine by my standards. Location on the outskirts but transportation easy to grab. Service bueno.

Our 4-nights stay in Meni Hotel has been definitely bad! We booked a taxi via e-mail and the driver was not there at the airport as promised The ventilation in our bathroom couldn’t be switched off, we reported the issue to 3 different people at the reception but nobody seemed interested to solve it for us. The noise all night long was annoying during 4 nights. Breakfast was the worst one we ever had in our life: filter-coffee in a thermos, seemed to drink brown water, there was only cold milk available. Fruits were standing there for 4 days turning brown at the end, orange juice was like vitamin tabs melted in water. Breakfast served only starting from 8.15, it’s too late if you have visits planned in the morning. Cleaning it’s another topic: towels smelling bad, hairs in the floor for days… Last but not least an old man part of the staff is always shouting in the hall and in the stairs early in the morning, no need to have an alarm… The only good thing ? Our beds were very comfortables. The localisation near the metro station is ok but the surroundings are populated by zombies using drugs in the night. We regret this hotel choice but luckily we spent a great time in Athens.

Wonderful, modern accommodations, staff was great

La habitación es super amplia, bonita y cómoda, al igual que el baño. Se siente moderno y en muy buenas condiciones. El único aspecto a mejorar es que se siente mucho ruido del exterior, además que mi habitación daba hacia una calle muy transitada y se sentía mucho el ruido de los carros, pero no me impidió el descanso. Es una muy buena opción ya que está cerca de estación de metro que te da muy buena movilidad hacia el resto de la ciudad y el desayuno también estuvo muy bueno y a un precio justo.

Very clean and spacious!

Upon our arrival, the receptionist warmly greeted us with a smile. However, the presence of two men and a lady engaged in a heated argument and smoking in the common area made us feel uneasy, especially as non-smokers. The lingering smell of smoke was quite unpleasant. To our surprise, upon returning to our room after a day out, we discovered that no housekeeping had been carried out during our entire stay. Despite being there for three nights, we did not receive fresh towels, the bed linens were unchanged, and the bin remained untouched for three days. This lack of cleanliness is unacceptable for a hotel that prides itself on being three stars. The hotel boasts of coffee and tea facilities in both the common area and rooms, yet we found none during our stay. This oversight is unacceptable. If we return to Athens, we will not be choosing to stay at this hotel again.

In general it was a good experience to be in tgis hotel. The most important fact is that it is clean. Room was not small. The location is near the metro station and you have access to other places. Some good restos around. The breakfast was ok, not many varieties though. Not overcrowded hotel. The staffs were friendly. The owner was always there and it was easy to hear his loud voice. They did not answer my messages that i sent them when i first booked, but out needs were met.

BedBugs infested hotel

de omgeving waar het Meni hotel ligt geeft je een onveilig gevoel. De straten in de buurt zijn vuil, er is veel verval. Het verkeer in Athene is sterk gericht op auto's en bromfietsen. Voetgangers moeten héél goed opletten. Gelukkig zijn er veel straten met éénrichtingsverkeer zodat je je maar telkens tussen 1 verkeersstroom moet wagen.

Smoke filled hotel. Didnot havebasic amenities. Very disappointed and not worth the price paid. The reception staff were exceptional. One of the ladies manning the measly breakfast area was great. There was another who was so unhelpful

Area located in unsafe neighborhood. Very limited parking space. During our stay tourists who were checking in had money and documents stolen from them by imposter posing as employee of this hotel. Need security improvement.

The hotel was in excellent condition and was very clean. The staff was really friendly and helpful too. The location was a little further than I expected but it helped being close to their metro system. One morning our group witnessed the owner yelling at a man in the lobby area. He threw something at the guy and knocked his coffee over. It made us all very uncomfortable in the way he treated the poor guy. Every morning in the small room off the lobby there was someone smoking and it made the lobby smell horrible.

Good clean rooms, friendly staff, 20 min walk into city centre (metro available) Would stay there again

Zentrale Lage, gute Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel. Man kann die Sehenswürdigkeiten auch zu Fuß erreichen. Liegt an verkehrsreichem Kreisverkehr. Die ständige Huperei der Verkehrsteilnehmer nervte ein wenig. Zum Glück hatte das Zimmer Klimaanlage und schallisolierte Fenster. In der Nähe viele Möglichkeiten gut und preiswert etwas zu essen.

Hotel limpio y personal amable, ubicado cerca de la estación del metro. Restaurantes cerca, te aconsejan moverte en el area de la glorieta, zona segura y es donde están los restaurantes y el metro. Te sugieren no utilizar las calles alejadas de la glorieta por seguridad. La acrópolis se encuentra a 3 paradas del metro. La estación del hotel se llama Metaxourgeio, desde el aeropuerto puedes llegar hasta el hotel y del hotel ir a el puerto donde salen los cruceros, la parada de Pireo. Muy practico hotel para conocer Atenas.
