Room was excellent, breakfast was good. Staff was very helpful. We forgot our driver license, and housekeeping asked front desk to call us right away.

Really great hotel. Everything is new and clean. It is extremely well located, only a short walk to the old port and the shopping. And the staff is extremely friendly and nice. Highly recommend.

The staff are absolutely fantastic at this hotel! Five stars and more the breakfast was exceptional! The pool was so relaxing and refreshing after a long day of walking around Chania, this is the only place I will stay next time I’m in Crete. Xx

From the moment we arrived at SanSal Boutique Hotel, we were greeted with genuine warmth and professionalism. The location is perfect – right on the seafront with breathtaking views, yet only a short stroll from Chania’s old town and harbour. Our room was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The floor-to-ceiling windows and balcony overlooking the sea made each morning feel magical. Housekeeping was impeccable, and the amenities exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was a daily highlight – fresh, plentiful, and full of local Cretan flavours, served with a smile. The rooftop pool and bar were perfect for relaxing in the sun with a cocktail while enjoying the panoramic views. What really sets SanSal apart is the staff. Every single person we encountered went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, offering helpful tips and genuine hospitality that made us feel truly welcome. SanSal Boutique Hotel is more than just a place to stay – it’s an experience we will treasure. We can’t wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chania.

Absolutely amazing stay !! 5 stars in every aspect . Rooms, view, staff & facilities were truly fabulous. The hotel was in the perfect location. 5 minute walk ( 10 min stroll) along coast to old town, or 2 mins if you walked along old walls. Chania is a beautiful place .

We had a fantastic stay at SanSal Chania. The staff were super friendly, welcoming and really helpful. We had some lovely meals out thanks to their recommendations. Our room was immaculate and we had bottled water in our fridge daily. Great coffee pods were supplied for our in- room machine. The room came with a hairdryer and an ironing board. Our bathroom was spacious and came with really nice, locally sourced complimentary shower gels, soap and moisturisers. The bed was spacious, very comfortable and the only time we heard noise from outside was on one morning as there was construction locally. We even received an evening turn down service which we were not expecting and this was lovely to come back to after a day of exploring- fresh towels were supplied if necessary and the room had received a general tidy up. This hotel is 10 minute walk (if that) into Old Town Chania. There is plenty of parking available if you hire a car. We received a free bottle of wine with our stay which was great as we actually stayed over my birthday. The infinity pool on the roof was 10/10, providing great views. The pool was very clean and we did not have difficulty finding a lounger. The bar on the rooftop was also great with reasonably priced cocktails and great food. Breakfast was also delightful- some of the best scrambled eggs I’ve had abroad and the selection of local foods on offer at the buffet was fantastic. Overall I could not fault this hotel and would 100% stay again. Thank you!!

Wonderful hotel, with amazing views of the bay, fantastic location walking distance from the old venetian port and very friendly and helpful staff. They made us feel welcome from the very first moment we entered the lobby!

We couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming team for our engagement holiday. From the moment we booked the holiday the whole experience was brilliant, we were truly treat like family. Gorgeous views from the rooftop infinity pool and bar, comfortable beds and modern fresh rooms. Perfectly located inbetween the old town and Nea Chora Beach, we were never stuck for things to do. We can’t thank everyone enough for making our visit to Chania so special, we will definitely be returning.

Amazing Stay! The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, room was tidy and spacious, not to mention the rooftop pool, which was the cherry on top. Location by the sea and near the old harbour was very convient. Would recommend this from the bottom of my heart!

We had 8 days of pure relaxation on our honeymoon at the SanSal hotel. The hotel is modern. Our room was lovely and somehow always cool in high temperature. Amazing view from our balcony. The staff are super friendly. We loved spending time on the roof top pool area. Its a short walk to beaches and into the brilliant old town I would 💯 recommend this hotel if you are thinking of staying in Chania. We will come back again.

Hôtel modern, aux lignes et à la décoration sobre et tendance. Super situé par rapport à la vieille ville de LA CANÉE. Petit déjeuner standard sans plus. Parking possible en laissant les clés à la réception. La piscine avec bar sur le toit est très bien. Il n'y a pas de resto, mais comme la ville en regorge, ce n'est pas un problème. Le matin, nous avons été réveillé par le bruit des ouvriers travaillant sur une construction voisine.

This is one of the nicer hotels in Chania. The included breakfast buffet was wonderful— plentiful and with many options. The staff were all friendly and nice. There is a rooftop pool and lounge chairs with a bar that had amazing views and was a great amenity we enjoyed, especially for watching the sunset over a drink. The beds were comfortable. The downside for us was that it was not quiet, with noise heard from the hallways and adjacent rooms and the street, requiring ear plugs. Also, one of our 2 sinks in the bathroom was non-functioning due to a leak, and the shower was unusable due to it smelling like sewage. Thankfully there was a separate bathtub to use, but less convenient.

Renata was the reception staff who welcomed us gave us loads of recommendations for restaurants nearby and was very welcoming! She definitely made our stay so much more enjoyable. The hotel is small but we loved that it’s quiet and the view from the balcony is just amazing. Enjoyed our stay in Chania a lot and hope to be back!
