The main issue is with Room size. It was only about 70 to 80 sq ft excluding bathroom which was about 30 sq ft. The room had a queen bed that left only 2.5 ft to 3.5 ft room all around the bed. The room no 7 did have glass door and a curtain from inside. Would not recommend this place to anyone, this is more suitable for back packers... Staff was good, issue there

Great staff and service. Very convenient location. Air conditioning works great and the breakfast is surprisingly good. Only issue I see is the bathroom has a weird layout but overall, great stay thanks to the friendly staff.

It was my first time to visit and stay in Antigua. Hot Chipilin is a cute boutique private hotel have a view of Volcan Agua on sunny days, beautiful and enjoyed its view with great coffee served. I would come back to this hotel, I really liked it. Only a few things I experienced were not met with my expectations, but I learned them so it won't be problems for next time. 1. You need to leave a key to hotel staffs for having your room cleaned. I would not have a problem with it however I was not advised ahead of time that I needed to leave my room key so I did not get my room cleaned, unfortunately. 2. Leaving your suitcases with Front Desk after check out costs Q100 if until after 14:00. This is new to me, it is believed that a hotel common system allows you to leave your suitcases with front desk at free of charge (tips to porter) but this hotel asks Q100 to store your stuffs till later. For example, I stayed till a bit after 18:00. I loved their breakfast and coffee served delicious, overall, this is a great place to stay. All staffs are friendly, they give you 2 bottled water in room and there is water tank that you can refill your bottles in common area, which was very appreciative. Thank you!

We enjoyed very much the convenient location of this property to the city center. We’re very grateful to Claudia for her assistance in helping us with local information and connecting us to local attractions and transport. She welcomed us with a smile and was a pleasure to be around.

Buena relación precio y calidad

Claudia was helpful. They have much difficulty with English, here. We needed our AC unit turned down because it was so cold, and they turned it off. We could never seem to explain we needed it turned back on, but at a more comfortable temperature. Be aware that if you stay here, you may have some communication issues that will effect your comfort. Breakfast was okay.

Céntrico y accesible a todo, pero la reservación que hice no correspondía con la habitación que me daban, hice el reclamo y accedieron a cambiarme la habitación.

Super friendly staff. Felt at home.

The most horrible experience ever. Not a single night table to put things like the phone and wallet , the main door do not open widely and also the door in the shower , the shower was absolutely baddd, but the worst part is that the bunk beds did not have safety fence so in few words no one can sleep on top of those bunk beds because they may fall and have a serious accident. Never go to that place.

Our room was in the basement so in the morning I couldn’t see the sunlight. Staff refused to let us store our bags there after check out while we waited for the next hotel check in— they said we would have to pay for an additional night to hold bags. Shared bathroom with no hot water in the sink. It was clean and breakfast was good but not worth the price.

During my recent stay in Antigua, I found the staff at Hot Chipilin to be exceptional. They were friendly and willing to go the extra mile. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was a welcome respite from the day’s activities. I would like to thank the staff for making my vacation such a pleasant one.

El hostal es muy sencillo, y la verdad me perdí en varias ocaciones para encontrarlo, y que tienen un restaurante con el mismo nombre. Trata de usar Google maps ya que Maps de Apple no funciona en esta locación. Yo elegí el basic room y a diferencia de lo que dice en la aplicación esta si incluye un baño privado dentro de la habitación y toallas de baño. Lo que no había y quizás no puse atención es aire acondicionado, solo tiene un pequeño ventilador pero no es suficiente, sobre todo en estos meses que hace mucho calor y a pesar de que por la noche el clima es mas fresco el cusrto se conserva caluroso porque solo tiene una pequeña ventana muy arriba. el lugar esta muy cercano a las calles principales por lo que ew facil encontrar todo tipo de negocios cerca
