I don’t recommend this place

Room ill give 4 of 10 rating. Restaurant was good. 1/23 - 1/25/2026 (don't let the pics fool you)

We left a wallet with our trip money forgot it with the rush to leave the hotel as soon as we notice the wallet was missing we call the hotel they said there was nothing we returned to the hotel checked the room and nothing the recepvionest had the wallet according to her I left it there but the money was missing

Room was good Staff was good

Spacious room, beautiful property with gardens, pool, and scenic views of the surrounding mountains and Lake Yojoa. We enjoyed coffee and a tasty breakfast every morning and then spent our days exploring the nearby nature reserves, hiking to waterfalls and spending time with our family. The Honduyate staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed their assistance to get some work done to meet a deadline.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½ — A Hidden Gem on Lake Yojoa Our family of five stayed at Hotel Honduyate, renting one suite and one standard room, and were pleasantly surprised by the comfort, space, and value. The suite had ample bedding for two couples plus one, comfy sofas, a lovely patio with lake views, and even a screened fireplace—perfect for relaxing together. The standard twin room was clean and functional; a small shower leak was quickly fixed by the staff. Breakfast was the classic Honduran plate—eggs, sausage, beans, plantains—tasty and satisfying. The restaurant’s second-floor terrace overlooks the lake and catches cool breezes, making meals extra enjoyable. Room service worked well for a casual dinner (limited menu but quick and friendly). The amenities and location really make this place special: • Small pool and bar overlooking the lake • Ample outdoor seating and a playground for kids • Docks for boats and canoes • Easy access to tours and just 45 minutes from Pulhapanzak Falls Add a dog-friendly policy and genuinely warm, helpful staff, and you’ve got a great family value. It’s not luxury, but it’s authentic, comfortable, and beautifully located. We give Hotel Honduyate 4.5 stars and would gladly return. A true hidden gem on Lake Yojoa!

Las habitaciones estan como abandonadas las camas y almohadas son viejas y huelen mal, la comida mala también, lo único rescatable es el paisaje,para hospedarse no es buen lugar deberian de revisar quien les esta limpiando las habitaciones no esta haciendo un buen trabajo la ducha olía a pis viejo definitivamente no regreso y no lo recomiendo.

Very clean my six year old felt safe and happy there

after all it was a beautiful place. Nice staff. The food was decent. But the only thing that i found was the bedsheets were not in good shape. I will definitely go back to this place.

Incredibly beautiful, no matter when you are there. It's an amazing escape. Nice room, nice shower, but the area? Amazing. I would stay here again anytime...
