Our rating has dropped, just doesn't seem to be as great as it was in past. The snorkeling off resort anytime we want is why we go. Lots of different plants and fish to explore without being crowded. Taxi was waiting for us at the airport and driver stopped by market for us to stock up on water and snacks. At the resort we were taken to the office for check in while our bags were delivered to our rooms. Check out was also great. Cleanliness is at the same high standard around resort itself and in the rooms. Most of the staff were great and always had a smile. The exception is the bar/restaurant staff that never smile, slow service and seem put out when you ask for anything. Got to the point we would just go find what we needed instead of waiting for waiter. Food is still good but not great and was horribly slow even when we were the only ones there. Property condition is good, and the new deck is a nice but could use a sunshade. There are signs of aging and places that need maintenance but are acceptable. The beach is unusable. The tree that provides shade is infested with worms that constantly drop on you if you sit there so it is not relaxing/usable. They shouldn't say a fridge is included. It is filled with their stuff leaving no room for yours. $15 if you want it emptied, and I was told I would be charged if I removed it myself. Banging scuba tanks around early in the morning is annoying. Still a good place to stay but they need to address some issues.

Great location with walking distance to the beach and shops. The bungalow / cabins are cute but could use a refresh. (Instructions for the split A/C unit settings would be helpful.) The garden grounds are beautiful and well kept. The dining staff seem indifferent about doing their job. The registration and check in person Dyr Arr was the most friendly, cheerful, and helpful at the property. The morning breakfast was tasty and the food in general was tasty and reasonably priced. Fidel, the airport transport driver was nice, not very talkative. (which was fine)

Great location on the water. Great staff in all areas of the Resort. Clean and comfortable . Would definitely go back to this resort

Fantastic staff. Great value. Nice jungle setting. For a 30 year old property, it’s been well maintained. For snorkels or divers having the dive shop handy is a big bonus. Geraldine, Aaron and Captain Otto are fantastic.

Great resort for a 3 star experience. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Rooms and grounds are we you can expect for 3 stars. Walk to West Bay is through a pretty sketchy boardwalk past abandoned buildings. The dive shop is convenient but not very accommodating for snorkelers. They have no life jackets or location floats for snorkeling. We went to a site with a bunch of jet skiers and felt quite unsafe.

Staff was amazing!

If you are looking for a diving destination without many frills, this is an outstanding choice. The only downfall is that they need a pool on-site. Great food, Great location, Great people!

We just returned from our first stay at Las Rocas and we loved our time there. Even with the weather not being great as it was rainy season we had a great time. Our dives were spectacular and so convenient being right there. The staff was super friendly and helpful in every department. The rooms were comfortable and clean and I felt safe everywhere. We are already booking our next stay, can’t wait to go back!

Lots of construction cannot walk to a shop or grocery or gas station or restaurant

Loved it. Great location and atmosphere. A very relaxed location right on the water with a good breakfast and great sunsets. This is not a hotel on the beach with an infinity pool. It is a family run hotel with a great atmosphere and super clean. Everyone was professional and friendly. Our room had a balcony with an ocean view. The restaurant/bar/breakfast area was right on the water. Great sunsets happy hour. A 5 min walk to the beach and beach restaurants. 15 minutes to the best snorkelling.

Staff was amazing, restaurant and bar were awesome, and the dive folks were superb as well. Everyone friendly and knowledgeable. Had the best time, didn’t want to leave. If you want a low-key spot to hang and dive it’s the best option. Not that I care to check other options-this one was perfect.

The property had a jungle like feel to it. Not modern at all, but that's what made it special. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

In general, I felt the property was very well located, I liked the bungalow environment, and the people in general were exceptionally accommodating. I do intend on coming back with my wife in 2025 and staying at the same place.

Everything was perfect for our trip, we didn’t spend much time in the room because there was so much to do around. But the property is in the center of everything but it is quiet here. Not a lot of pesky vendors and the restaurant on property serves very good food. There is a water taxi station right on the beach so no need to travel by car anywhere. We would definitely stay at this property again .

The bed are to hard I pay for the ocean views but i wasn't right there in the water, the bathroom are terrible and the front desk lady she's not nice
